Well, in their defense, albums don't move the sales needle anymore, especially for indie artists. The only reason to do an album is artistic freedom. Heck, the only reason to release anything is artistic freedom. There isn't much money in it.

Except for the covers, I've not heard any of these songs previously, so it was my impression that they were all new.

Yeah I was kinda surprised that all of their cover singles from the past few years were on it. So basically it’s an EP of new songs with bonus tracks. It’s good though.
