I didn't really care for the band until John started singing, and then it kinda rocked. John seems to be one of those singers who can make anything sound epic, and I think the band would be improved with a better vocalist. If you listen to female fronted metal bands like Evanescence, Nightwish, or Epica, their lead singers have exceptional operatic voices, which is what I was expecting from this band. She seems to be competent, but it's not enough to elevate the music to that next level.
