Girder music has announced preorders for Jekyll & Hyde on vinyl and remastered cd. I don’t need it on cd again, but I preordered the vinyl.

At this point, I think they mess with the EQ, then slap “REMASTERED!!!” on a sticker and try to pass it off as some major update and selling point. No thanks.

All I care about is having another Petra album on vinyl for the first time. We’re getting close to having all of them available in vinyl for the first time. They just need to release a few more….except Double Take. Forget that album exists please.

I actually like Double Take. I appreciate the new arrangements and consider it one of the better acoustic cover albums, but I recognize that this is not a popular opinion among Petra fans.

Jekyll & Hyde definitely deserves a re-release, but a re-master? The album came out in 2003, so volume would not be an issue to "fix" this time around, I hope it sound good and not too loud and compressed. The website says there is a Limited Edition 2-CD version that comes with the Spanish version of the album though, which seems to be quite rare.

I was mostly kidding about Double Take. I’d buy it if it got a vinyl release, but it’s the last one I want. I’m really hoping they’ll do “No Doubt”, “Petra Praise 2”, and “God Fixation” next.

My copy of “Jekyll & Hyde” on vinyl just arrived 5 minutes ago.
