Hope all that are going to Freedom fest this weekend at Burls Creek have a great time. I still can't believe I'm not going and I'm literally 10min down the road.
Anyway, hope someone will be taking lots of pics and video. Let us know how it goes.
Take care,
James

I just wanted to report that I was there last night in Oro Ontario at Freedomfest. My wife and I came up from Guelph just for the Friday evening. When we got there, we expected a lot more people but the event was great.
I arrived at the Worship tent at about 9:40 pm (Two Guys was scheduled for 10:00pm). The times for all the performances were out of whack so I wanted to make sure I got there on time. John and Bob were sitting in the chairs listening to the current act. I got to talk to John for a few minutes. He said they had just arrived two hours ago from Nashville (where it was 90 degrees). The temp in Oro at the time was dropping below 10 celcious. They were cold. Bob's son was there too.
When they started at 10:05, there were maybe 30 people in the whole tent. First I thought what an awful crowd, but then I realized it was kind of a private party with them. It was really cool. They played an entire 60 minute set. They played Lord I Lift, Trading My Sorrows, Creed, Just Reach Out, J&H, Here I Am to Worship, Beyond Belief, UP/IIF, Dance, God of Wonders, etc. They were very entertaining, funny, and engaging. Most of all, it was a great worship service.
After, they met with fans, posed for pictures, and answered questions. A very unique experience. The guys were unfazed by the small crowd (which grew slightly as the performance went on). They are there all weekend, including leading the Sunday morning worship service at 10:00 am. If you can get out to it please do. They are well worth seeing live. I consider myself blessed to see them again after I thought two years ago I had seen them live for the last time. I really hope they continue on for a long time to come, as it obviously showed last night that John and Bob love what they do.

Ouch! that is nasty cold! It's dropped here in WI too, but not THAT bad.
Krazy, thanks for the report! Did you see Saturday's show, or the Sunday a.m. service?
This is something very different, and very do-able for any church that's willing to put forth a little effort. Check with your churches, people! You can host a II Guys concert easily!

I would have to agree - I've probably seen more of the II Guys concerts than anyone, and really - the focus is not so much on the music but on the Lord, and singing to Him. Even the Petra classics are done with a very worshipful feel to them. It's hard to explain if you've not yet seen a II Guys concert. But it's a beautiful thing. Most of all, it was a great worship service.
