Is Bob bald?

Maybe this is a known thing. Maybe not, but I think Bob Hartman is, or at some point was bald. If you look at all the pictures from the earliest Petra days, he's clearly balding, but still has most of his hair. If you look at all the pictures from around 1983 to 1987 he's always wearing his signature buret. (I'm not sure if that's how you spell that word) Then, all of a sudden in 1988 when On fire came out, he has a full head of lush curly hair. That would make sense to me, since that was a time of big success for Petra and he was probably making enough money to get hair implants or something. Or maybe I have way too much free time on my hands to think about silly things like that. I thought it was interesting though. It would also make sense that the record companies would encourage him to do something about it, cause lets face it, how many bald rock stars are there out there? Besides ones who are totally bald like Peter Furler. Well I don't care if he's bald or not, he's still my hero and role model. ROCK ON!!

Bob's hair was thinning way back in the early 80s, maybe even a bit earlier, and so was Greg's, for you youngsters who weren't around then. It does happens.

I've not seen Ronny with with a hair piece; there are some pictures with him showing off his bald head. Elo and I had a fit over it for those of you who have been posting long enough to remember it, we both thought the world had ended. The bald look works for some guys, Greg Bailey looks good.

And yes, Shell - I do remember your & Elo's horror at seeing a shiny head atop Ronnie!

Hair or no hair... the world goes on.

(if anyone needs some, I have nearly a full heads-worth in my sink every morning as I brush out my trusses... a lot falls out, and lots more grows back)

Its funny to see that we have not new things to comment or write an opinion (new album, new keyboard, new guitar...in the band.... new song) so..... WE HAVE TO LOOK FOR BIZARRE THINGS LIKE THE TIME IN BOBS HEAD....

I thought the same when I look historic pictures or videos.... GXV, for example, looks youngest in Farewell DVD than CITAS DVD...

In my free time I look for pictures in the net of all petra musicians and I am making a line in time year to year to see the "looks" that thay had...

You got it, Stephen! the first one on the list.. John has a new manager. He's a great guy, doing an excellent job - and I have nothing but GOOD things to say about him.

Funny, an important thing like this is buried on a BOB's BALD thread! lolol!

don't worry - I just wrote up a newsletter from John talking about this, and as soon as I get it all ready I'll post in a new thread.

Way back in the day my dad told me Bob was bald. My parents went to the Servant/Petra tour in 1982 and my dad said Bob took off his beret and was very visibly bald. I think the conversation came up because he saw me watching a Petra video in which Bob had a full head of hair.

yum, my brother had a problem like that, he got when he was 19, he went to a doctor and got some treatment and his hair came back.
