This Means War cd defect

I first listened to This Means War on cassette, but when I got the CD, I noticed (to my chagrin) that the first half-second or so of the song "He Came, He Saw, He Conquered" was chopped off.

(On the cassette, the song starts with 4 hits of the snare drum, but on my CD you hear only 3 hits, the first one shorter than the other two.)

Is it like this on your CD's too?

Yep... that was a defect present in the second pressing of the CD, and every pressing thereafter. If I remember correctly, the problem is reportedly not present in the Star Song compilations that include that song.

Most people don't listen closely enough to even notice. Sharp ears, man! (And I'm not talking about pointy Vulcan ears)

The problem seems to be present on my copy of Petra Means Rock. I'll have to check Rock Block still. It seems like the problem is solved on The Ultimate Collection.
