I found this on Tim's News page on his website. http://www.timothygaines.com/

January 2008 -

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I have joined up as bass player for John Schlitt (vocalist for Petra and former Head East). The new band will be touring this year in support of Johns latest solo release called "The Grafting". See www.JohnWSchlitt.com for dates. Hope to see you on the road.

I think that's great that Tim with his talent and experience will be joining John on his tour. I don't think John could have chosen a better bass player!

Is there going to be a full out tour? If so, is John going to have a co-headliner with him? I hope he comes to Ontario, Canada! Would love to see him tour with Bloodgood, or D and k, or a newer artist like John Waller, or Mark Schultz.

I hardly think that John would be on the same bill as Bloodgood. Have you heard them lately? uhhh.

I've seen vids of Bloodgood performing at Cornerstone last year. I just think they both seem to have a heart for ministry and are from the same era, that's all.

I would really love to see John's solo tour again and hope he comes to Ontario Canada too. If Tim Gaines is in his band, that would be great. I hope he tours with a live band and not a track machine. The new album sounds great and I would love to hear the Shake and UFS songs played live again. I am so glad John has released his third solo record. He is such a great singer. If he has an opener, I hope they play for a real short time so most of the evening can be John. I don't really want him to co-headline with anyone.

Garth Brooks never should have changed his name to that.

That was Chris Gains. He did that as his movie character, for a movie that was shelved. The album was already done for it, so they gambled and came up snake eyes. Oh but wait America. He's back.
