Some snippits of Greg Bailey, Louie Weaver and a little bit of Jeremy Garretson (better known here as RockSoup).

These are unmixed portions of tunes minus vocals. We are still waiting on Quinton Gibson to quit making money playing with the big boys and finsish up his tracks.

Very cool. However, you need to check your spelling or word choice on several things.

The low quality video makes the "darn" look funny, doesn't it? Saw that. I changed it. Don't want anyone thinking that I can't spell the naughty d word.

More Louie! Sounds like good stuff. Did you do the recording yourself?

Greg Volz has the pre and postlude. The rest is a secret for a bit longer.

Brent, do you have any clue on what's going on between Greg and Barbara Volz, about her not being ANYWHERE on his site? Also, I thought John was going to do some work on PDC II?

1. Re: Greg. I have only discussed music and industry related stuff with him. Greg is not THE vocalist on this project. He is to be A vocalist on this project.

2. Re: John. We have written songs that are in Drop D, G, etc (all too low for John to sing lead). When we spoke last, we had not yet written the tunes that we have now. John was willing at that time, provided the money was right and it did not impede his current project (which had not yet been recorded).

We are not trying to reinvent Petra. We can't do that. We respect all of the incarnations of the band. We are using the players we liked, who were not center stage per se. This allows them to play what they like, what we like, and not follow the formula that made Petra what it was.

We would like John to sing backing vocals, scream, holler, etc, if we could swing it. Money is very tight now. Even if we wrote for John's range, we would again be compared to Petra, and those are shoes that cannot be filled by anyone else.

It is time for PDC to be what PDC is now, and not what it was in the 80s. It is time for us to say what we feel led to say at this time.

petrafreak2009, it's not really the Christian thing to do to try & get into on someone's personal life. I'm sure if Greg wanted people to know what's going on in his personal life he would put it on the website.

Since he makes no mention of it, we'll probably never know.

Too LOW for John? Greg has/had a 4 octave range that he hits high notes when singing any song. Or at least of what I've heard. John has the lower voice of the two. Am I misunderstanding something?

Greg's range will be maximized on our pre and postlide.

John prefers tunes in his power range. He has two distinctly different voices, one high and one low. He prefers not to sing low, as he can't belt it, and there is no grit. Not a slam. Nobody has the exact same timbre and texture from top to bottom. It is not physically possible.

It's one thing for people to brag on a singer's range. It's another thing to make use of it in the rock genre. The required range for modern rock is quite narrow...unless it is a PDC record. haha

They also did it in drop C as well. One of the bands I'm a booking agent for, SAINT-DA-FIED, is covering Jekyll and Hyde and I should have some clips soon to share with ya'll.

That may be. I was told by John where he wants to sing. Our melodies and harmonies are not close.
