We'll have more to come, but here's the one we have on the Fan Site homepage (

These fellas are from Seattle and really have put in a lot of time & effort, not to mention rolling with the flow in trying to get them all over to India for the tour.
Hats off to StoneJava!

So whatever happen to Tim Gaines playing in John's band?
Did something come up or did he get shafted?

You're more worried about Gaines getting stiffed than John and his India tour, and how that is all coming along? This is his first big tour solo, and I've not seen ONE question here about that.
I've seen hundreds of views on posts about an impossibility, namely Petra/Stryper covering each others songs, and yet posts or questions regarding John or the tour are hardly noticed in comparison.
That either means I'm doing a decent job of getting the word out -- or people don't really care now that John is not Petra.
FYI: This is the band for the INDIA tour.... Tim Gaines et al did not want to go.

There was a post explaining that there were different people for touring and studio work. Maybe folks would do well to pay attention and read the posts.
I think it's awesome God has opened some doors and John has the opportunity to go to India, they need to hear the Gospel.
You just keep doing what you're doing, Sue.

With all due respect, this forum is the Petra zone, not the John Schlitt zone.

Okay, it’s true it was only a question and this is a Petra forum…But the Petra as we knew it doesn’t exist any more, and this question expressed more of a concern about what might be going on with Tim than with the India tour and it had been answered. I’m not picking on petraband in particular, I’ve seen that sort of thing here before. We shouldn’t be so focused on trying to find out what might be going on between the band members that we forget there are people in India who need to hear the Gospel and John is going to be ministering to them...That is what is really important folks, I think that is what Sue is trying to say.

Sue and Shell...you're both pathetic! Lose the power trip Sue!
Shell do me a favor and keep your unwanted comments to yourself. I didn't see the post which was probably posted a while ago and I'm not on here all the time, I do have a life and I work. After that comment it is clear that you are nothing more than a social retard and I think you should pray for yourself. God is disappointed in you and basically doesn't like you anymore...he just finished telling me and actually used the words "stupid head".
Get a clue!
Petrafan1 and danielaussie...thanks for your comments, I appreciate it!

This is beginning to sound like the old days. If you choose to call me names and believe I'm pathetic because I expressed an opinion, so be it, but I have as much right to my opinion as anyone. I wasn't trying to accuse anyone of anything but obviously you think otherwise, I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I didn't know how to post the link to the other thread or I'd have done it.

Wow.
I guess now we know why the proverb says whoever meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a passing dog by the ears.
Still let's keep the biting down to flesh wounds people. It's annoying to have to clean up a lot of blood.

Keep it clean, folks. Don't make me flex my moderating muscles (oh yes, I still have those powers).

I was going to delete these posts, I'm not deleting them, just cause we are Christians we are not perfect, so we should not hide it.
People lets show the love of God... I too know that it hurts when you ask questions about band members.. and someone might make you feel bad for asking, but don't say harsh things back...
Or if you have put so much hard work into something.. and you feel like it goes unnoticed, it doesn't Sue trust me.

Check out that big picture of me, ha ha ha (trying to change the subject)
Peace!

Back to topic:
Looking forward to road updates from John. I pray that seeds are planted and lives are touched.
I was looking through the bio of the band StoneJava. I noticed they have a very diverse music background and have played with a lot of big names. I wondered though, as I didn't see many Christian artists (other than Andre Crouch), are they "on-board" with the ministry aspect of what John does?
I am sure that they will do nothing to compromise John's ministry, but will they be taking an active role in it?

Everyone views ministry differently. Just because you don't always tour with Christian artists doesn't mean you aren't evangelizing.

I know my post seemed a bit leading, but I am genuinly curious. I have never heard of a "band-4-hire" before. I know there are a lot of musician's for hire, but I think it's cool that this band stays together. I bet they are very tight!
And I don't have any problem with them having played for secular artists.
I just wondered more about them...are they Christians? Does their role with John end at the stage, or is there more?
