Hey guys,
Apparently the guys at EMI are relasing 2 CD sets from various artists featuring 2 classic albums from a particular artist.
There will be a 2 for 1 for Petra. This will have their "More Power To Ya" and "This Means War" projects together. Here is a link from Christian Book:

at this time, I am scratching my head with this one.

Gee whiz. For the love of Pete. Enough already.
EMI is going down the toilet. They have had record losses. I guess that they are taking drastic measures. Give it away.

Pete Orta. For our love towards him, even though he left Petra, we can still love him.

I wouldn't mind a remastered version of This Means War!
Slight chance though that they'll take the trouble...

I would love it if EMI would pay someone like Jack Puig to remix ALL of the Elafonte records.

Keep dreaming...
Here's the link to the EMI-page about the product. Doesn't seem like a remastered version.

And I'm one of those crazy guys who's actually gonna buy this product, just for the sake of my collection... How sad can you become.

Help me raise the money. I will hire everyone and recut it all. If they won't give us what we want, let's make it.

Don't worry p-freak, I'm a member of that sad group as well. I'm a completist when it comes to Petra.

I just have a feeling that this is a "repackaged" item anyway. I really do not care for that treatment though. Heck, the same thing has been happening on the DVD (movie) side .
HEY MICHAEL!!!

Would this be considered a "Greatest Hit/Compilation" project?
connections...

Well, I've got a connection for this one. Before I really got into Christian music, or bought any Petra stuff, those two albums were the only ones I had really heard. Perhaps someone decided that those two albums are definitive Petra, or maybe, from the albums they could use, they wanted something from Greg's era and something from John's era.
Maybe it's just me, but I see a shift with On Fire toward a heavier sounding Petra, or a definitive yes, this is where our sound is going. So, MPTY and TMW may be a little closer to each other than MPTY and OF, while still showcasing different eras. Just my rambling thoughts.

Sue you crack me up.
I still can't hold a candle to Jonathan, though I DO have my moments.
Maybe the reason they repacked these two (or any of the others that go two for one) is that they had excess product in stock, and instead of putting them on clearance, which makes the CDs look cheap and unwanted - they decided to go with a different sales strategy and make old CDs look like you're getting a whole nu thang.
just guessing......
