Bass players

Post by Susannah » Tue Jun 24, 2008 5:22 pm

I can tell you a little bit about the bass players with the rhyming names. Lonnie lives in Fullerton, California, and is the worshpi pastor at a church there. He got married a few years ago and makes guitars for SixTwelve Guitars in Fullerton.

Ronny is living in Finland and has been doing studio work there and helping to develop bands. You can check out his MySpace at myspace.com/ronnycates for more info.

Paul got married a little over a year ago. :) John DeGroff posts here every now and then; he and his lovely wife Jen, aka reoracer, who also posts here occasionally, live in Indiana.

You were away for awhile, so you probably didn't see the posts about their wedding. Of course, being female, I'm probably a little more inclined to keep up with weddings and babies and that sort of thing too. :) They don't post that often.

Here's the link to the thread, I hope it works.

what are they doing?

Post by gman » Wed Jun 25, 2008 8:55 am

Bob is fishing. He'll be auditioning for the celebrity edition of Deadliest Catch.
Let's see...Ric is selling houses, Mark tried a solo career (not sure what he's doing now), Billy started a record label and some other companies, and did some solo stuff. Oh wait. Wrong band.
Try again...Tony is a producer and recording studio guy, Jamie lives in Indiana and does worship at his church, and David was in the music business. Shoot, that's still the wrong band.
Who were we talking about? That's right, the unnamed band were not supposed to ask about.

Cooper is producing and mixing. He is buddies with the IndieHeaven guys, but I can't recall if he is part of that.

Quinton is working in a studio in Nashville when he is not on thr road. He has been playing southern gospel stuff for David Phelps, has been out with Sonic Flood and others. He is busy.

Last time I talked to Pete, he was in LA, had a little studio set-up in his house. Don't know if he is still playing for our fav Christian hoochie momma or not.

Mark Kelly was in the hearing aid business. Don't know if that is still true. He was as of a couple of years ago. I know that he worked in ministry, but didn't think that it was full time. Maybe he is now.

Greg Bailey...he hasn't mentioned anything about being a music minister per se. Maybe I will ask him. He was originally on the tech side of things and only occassionally played on stage.

John Lawry is producing and operates his studio. He might be laying some keyboard solo tracks for us. He is busy.

Rob Frazier is still writing and recording his own music. He also is a pastor at Belmont Church in Nashville, TN. Besides that he has some kind of music business that has something to do with jingles / sound design / post-score and voice-over. So whatever you want done with music, he will probably be able to deliver.

Greg Hough is (I'm not 100% sure though) a neuro-practitioner.

David Lichens is in the secular music business as a singer-songwriter. Don't know if he's succesful though.

Bill Glover is also some kind of pastor and two years ago he was busy with GHF-band, which was a band with former Petra-members Greg Hough, John DeGroff and Bill Glover. No idea if they're still around.

Last I heard about Bryce is that he is playing gigs everywhere.

I saw Q. two years ago live with Plumb.

Kevin is still in the music business, desperately trying to sell his recorded music at his site. He also has a some kind of production company called KBCB (I think it stands for: Kevin Brandow Chelsea Brandow). He's teaching kids to play music.

John DeGroff appears to be a freelance music writer now.

Kevin Brandow is doing the KBCB thing that someone else alluded to above http://www.kbcbmusic.com/

We seem to have forgotten Justin Johnson as well... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=38392237

It looks like David Lichens is stoned and totally wasted in the band photo there on his page.
