weird dream about a Petra song about bacon
Okay, so last night I had a dream where I find out that Petra did a song for the Beat the System album called "Shakin' the Bacon" but didn't release it on the album, so I listen to it on the Internet. I can't remember how the song went but I remember that it sounded really weird. I don't remember any of the words either, if there were any.
Where the heck that title came from I have no idea. And why would Petra write a song about bacon? And what does it mean to shake bacon? My dreams never make any sense at all. Maybe I was just hungry.

This Means Boil! And though both chefs are raging...
Maybe bacon symbolizes something in the Christian life? Like um...I don't know...um...maybe the way the excess fat comes off the bacon when you cook it and turns into that brown greasy stuff which you set aside to solidify and then dump it in the trash, is like, uh, the excess evil being cooked out of your heart through trials and then dumped in the trash can of forgiveness?
I guess that's how I'd interpret it. Now what's next, a dream about a song called "Somebody's Gonna Braise That Ham"?

Bacon grease isn't unclean, it's just the part people don't like to eat.charl wrote:Do not call unclean what God has made clean.
By the way, guess what I just had for supper today? That's right, CORN!! (Oh, and bacon, too.)

Sorry, Sausage fan here. Anyway, what goes great with sausage (or bacon or ham)?
Eggs and toast (or biscuits).
Eggs and toast (or biscuits).
All around the country and coast to coast
People always say what do you like most?
I don't wanna brag, I don't wanna boast
so I just tell 'em I like toast
[Chorus]
YEAH TOAST!!
YEAH TOAST!!
I get up in the morning about 6 AM
had a little jelly, had a little jam
take a piece of bread, put it in the slot
push down the lever and the wires get hot- I get toast
[Chorus]
YEAH TOAST!!
YEAH TOAST!!
Now, there's no secret to toasting perfection
there's a dial on the side and you make your selection
push to the dark or the light and then
if it pops too soon, press down again make toast
[Chorus]
YEAH TOAST!!
UH TOAST!!
When the first caveman drove in from the drags
didn't know what would go with the bacon and the eggs
musta bin a genius, got it in his head
plug the toaster in the wall, buy a bag of bread make toast
[Chorus]
YEAH TOAST!!
UH OHH!
Oui monsuier bonjour coquette
on hon croisoiant on vous a vere
morishe vour Eifel Towere
oui marie baguette bon soir
[Chorus]
FRENCH TOAST!!
FRENCH TOAST!!

Do you remember the names of any of those records or songs you dreamed about? Gosh, I bet it was a real bummer when you woke up and found out it was only a dream...Boray wrote:I've heard several Petra songs that doesn't exist in dreams. Those dreams often was something like this: I was in a record shop, and found a new Petra record (or an old one that I never had seen before). So I listened to it and bought it...
I remember when I first woke up from my "Shakin' the Bacon" dream I was disappointed at first when I realized it was a dream. Then after I woke up even more and my mind finally returned to reality, I was glad it was just a dream, and that Petra never made a song with "bacon" in the title. (Or so we know...)
By the way, I wonder what they did with that pig they shot at the end of "Lucas McGraw?"

No, I don't remember much of them, just that I was dissapointed that I woke up... I wanted to hear more! Every time I dreamt like that, Petra released a new album soon after. But they made so many albums so that could just have been by chance... But the album colors was sometimes the same as in the dreams... I remember that I dreamt before "No Doubt" about a yellow and green record...

"Montana And The Book"
That was the name of my dream Petra song. It sounded alot like "Counsel of The Holy", but a bit edgier.
I think it was formed by the fact that I liked "Counsel of THe Holy" so much, and really liked the desolate-wilderness look of the "Petra Praise: The Rock Cries Out" cover.
