I just heard a live recording of Petra playing "Rockin' On With Jesus" from the 70's and wondering if anyone has the lyrics to this song. I couldn't find the lyrics on the web and the recording quality isn't clear enough for me to understand all the words. Thank yall'z!

That's what I heard...Anyone else? I think amongst us we can figure it out.

Somewhere in the second verse he sings something like he likes his cheeseburgers with ketchup....not sure if the singer is singing about himself or Jesus.

Granted, I was a kid in the '60s, but I do remember those terms... I think they crept into the early '70s as well.

"Cats" is coming back I think. When you hang around cool people, as I often do, the word is uttered no less than 8 times per 25-30 minute block of conversation. And that's no argle-bargle.

Unless Dan is referring to the idea of calling our holy savior a "Cat." Which of course is the height of blasphemy.

Here we go with the Heretic/Blasphemy jabs again...I for one think that Jesus is THE coolest cat.

When you have been posting here for awhile, you will learn that things are not always as they appear with Jonathan...You need to read between the lines. He is a unique individual with a unique sense of humor. That may have been an observation about what can be considered blasphemy if you take it to its extreme, but I doubt it was meant as a jab at anyone specifically. Or that he actually considers referring to Jesus as a "cat" is blasphemous.

Most of his observations are pretty accurate if you really stop to think about it. And he doesn't mess with God or the Bible, but anything else is fair game.
