I really like all three of them but my fav would be The Rock Cries Out because it's the most exciting to listen to and sing with.

Worst? Can't answer that one. I like PP2 and Revival about equally and neither of them are bad at all.

I honestly didn't care for Revival that much. The other two were similarly good.

The Rock Cries Out - this album had higher highs and lower lows than the others. I Love The Lord is a fun and rambunctious rocker, Take Me In is a meaningful and theologically significant song, We Exalt Thee is a beautiful and soaring version of a P&W classic...but there were some real clunkers on this album too (in my opinion). Overall grade: B

We Need Jesus - doesn't do a lot for me, although I really like Ancient of Days. I think that's my favorite live praise song by Petra. The rest of the album, frankly, doesn't excite me. C-

Revival - this one is full of good songs, and though the arrangements lack the great Petra signature (deliberately, of course), several of them speak strongly to me. Favorites are Revival, Amazing Grace, and Oasis. None of the songs on this album are stinking dogs. Overall grade: B

Of course if you heard me "sing" you probably wouldn't call it singing.

My opinion is that "We Need Jesus" is one of the best Petra records through history. Alot of very good praise songs, in fantastic versions! My favourites: Lord I Lift, Ancient of Days, I Waited for The Lord, Show Your Power, Holiest Name.

The best Petra relatet praise/worship albums:
1. PP2 We Need Jesus
2. Vertical Expressions
3. PP1 The Rock Cries Out
4. Revival

lots of un's to describe it - like uninteresting, unoriginal

I listened to clips of Vertical Expressions and I was less than impressed. I don't know if I could even bear to listen to the clips again, let alone the whole thing. It didn't sound anywhere near as good as any Petra album.

I love Vertical Expressions and I thank God that he put it in Bob and John's hearts to give us one last album. I expecially love the Judas Kiss bonus although I would rather have had the guitar solo from Captured in Time & Space than the one featured.

1.Vertical Expressions
2.Petra Praise I
3.Petra Praise II
4.Revival
