CCM Magazine is running an online photo identification contest, and amongst the pictures shown is someone you all know & love!

Taken from CCMagazine.com http://www.ccmmagazine.com/news/stories/11595955/

Some of your favorite artists looked pretty cute posing with Santa or by their family Christmas tree back in the day. Check out these childhood holiday photos from the artists below. Take a stab at who you think is pictured, and win fabulous prizes!

All you have to do is leave a comment below and tell us who you think is pictured. (There are eight artist photos total, and you may have to switch pages to view all of them). We'll randomly draw names of winners thoroughout the month of December and send you CDs. The more you get right, the more free music we'll send your way. So, start guessing and spreading the holiday cheer...!

Contest ends December 31.

Well, there are 3 boys for sure (and #6 might be a boy... hard to tell).

So that narrows it down some, Elo!

Mmmmm.. I think I'm gonna go with #5. and I'm only basing that off of:

1. Blonde-ish hair

2. The guitar (John "sort of" plays) :)

3. The two brothers... I'm pretty sure John has two..

Thats all I got...

Finally answer Regis

Boys and girls.

My mom is about John's age. I have NEVER seen a color photo of her as a kid.

Do the math.

Excellent point, Crossways!

However, some people to this day CHOOSE to shoot black & white instead of color. I shot lots of B&W in the late '70s. That's because I was in high school and it was FREE! lol!

Just wanted to throw that factor in there for consideration.

I think it's number 6.

colour photo was good in the 1940's, so I think this would be the most likely photo of John at Christmas in 1950 at 10 months old

eww yikes - yeah I didnt even consider the fact that the picture doesnt really look "50s" ... mmmm

However, I have seen some high quality color photos from the late 50s.. Heres a fan pic of Buddy Holly from 1959.. taken after a show about a week before his plane crashed.

To keep this Petra related.. John Schlitt was born Feb. 3rd 1950 .. his 9th birthday is considered "the day the music died" (the day Buddy Holly's plane crashed)

I wouldn't say that was high quality.. check this one taken some 45+ years earlier.

I should have known it was number 8... I'm pretty sure John wore that same outfit at a few Head East shows

So, did John steal the outfit from Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler, or did they ALL dress like that?

Looks like he stole it from a speed skater.
