God Only Knows Vs. The Grafting

With both former Petra lead singers releasing new albums, the question is: Are you on the Volzwagon (lol) or with Johnny Boy. Both albums sound amazing to me, but I have to say I prefer The Grafting, just because of the crispness that has remained with John his entire career.

I like God Only Knows.
I just like GXV's sound a little better than John's.

I like Greg. But I love John's voice. Therefore The Grafting and all CD's of Petra with John are better than with Greg.
Just my opinion.

We can have the best of both worlds, can't we.

Which album sounds like someone trying to go a new direction, different from what was expected or hoped for? The Grafting. Which album sounds like a perfect match based on the history of the singer? God Only Knows. Which one has more depth? The Grafting. Which one is best? Who knows? Personal preference.
What does crispness mean?

It's no contest in my mind. One is a rock album, the other is old man contemporary. John's voice is still fine, but so is Greg's and Greg made a better album for long time Petra fans.
Will John someday make an album again that's worthy of the Petra legacy? God only knows.

Not sure if this post was superposed to be funny but it did put a smile on my dial.
I agree, I think John should get back to his grass roots of rock with his next album.

I agree that John should return to rock, but didn't The Grafting sell well? If so, John would have to consider that when it comes to deciding on a music direction. That said, John Elefante is coming out with a new rock album, so maybe rock will make a comeback in the Christian market. I'm hoping so anyway.

I hope Johns next album rocks, I'm getting tired of the christian music today being praise and worship sounding.
I think that it is time for christians to rock again.
