My former church did the same thing - install an elevator so people could get UP the steps to church, and DOWN to the hall. Lots of donations as well.
Nice thinking, Vic! I'm chuckling...

Ever notice how similar the riff is from that song to Seen and Not Heard? You can literally sing Heaven's on Fire when listening to the intro from Seen and Not Heard.

Man, if I had a dollar for everytime I have heard that....
Let's list all of the myths and rumors.
1. Kiss is a fan of Petra
2. Petra is a fan of Kiss
3. Bob and Bruce K are buddies

I'm confused, are you saying that the two songs don't sound the same in the small riff during the intro and chorus?
I once read an interview with Petra in a Christian magazine "The Edge" back when Unseen Power was released talking about the rumor that Petra gave Kiss the song "Unholy".
Petra's still better!

I didn't delete any posts (other than double and triple posts). I'm not sure about the other mods. I'm not even sure who they are. System glitch perhaps? Not that we don't have the right to delete posts of a flaming and trolling nature, but I think you've become more of an entertainment factor than a nuisance for most at this point.

They are the same. No doubt about it. You just must have missed the numerous threads, here and elsewhere, containing speculation, etc. I think that I asked Bob one time bout this. If I recall correctly, he had never heard the Kiss song. There were rumored reports that Kiss had never heard of the Petra tune. If they had, lawyers would have been at their door. Just another witness to how under the radar Christian music is, and Petra sold millions of records.
There was a rumor that in exhange for Petra using the intro to Heaven's On Fire, Petra would allow Kiss to cover God Gave Rock and Roll To You. A bunch of crap. Petra did not write the tune.

ouch, such a great song, yet stings at the same time. Up there with Lost the Plot (Newsboys) & Sheep and the Goats + Asleep in the Light (Keith Green).
I would go with Praying Man because this project is an answer to prayer - but I've used that song for a previous event.
Praying Man is one of their best. Louie was so tight!
