Ok, so a month or two ago, I was at a friends house, and they had the TV Guide channel on or something, and they were have some sort of American Idol recap or something.
Anyway, they were having a special performance by Jason Castro (From Season 7 with the dreadlocks). They introduced him with David Lychens!! David was playing guitar and singing backup vocals.
I just thought it was really random. That was probably one of the last places I expected to see him.

Great song! Musically complex composition. Most technical performance.

Yeah. She chased me around the house. "Come here you littah' stinkah'" (She was from back east and had a THICK accent.) "Tell Granmah' where you put them or I'll get the switch (belt) and bust you in the doopah (Polish word for buttcheeks). No playin' in the sprinkler for you boy. No ice cream when the ice cream man comes." When she said no ice cream, I caved. I could take the beatin'. But I loves me some ice cream.

What a cool song. I knew someone from Petra would finally make it big!

Aaaaaand do you know whyyyyyyyyyy John kicked him out? Hmmmmmmm?
He was a headstrongass that endangered the band's testimony on and off stage with his actions. He tarnished Petra's reputation with the musical instrument and amplification companies, making it hard for the band to keep endorsements. It put the band in a legal bind. Let's just say "screwin'things" was his motif.
Let's all "lay hands" on the brotha' and speak in tongues togetha'.

Well there buckaroo. Had there not been an accusatory tone in your reply, I would have let it slide right on by. But you pard'ner made John out to be the bad guy. They reason I cleared the air is so people will give John some credit. People don't get fired for acting like an idiot or doing illegal things. They fire themselves.

Watch it. Not even the same situation, dynamics, or history. I have heard both sides of this. I can understand the position of both parties. I did not like it's outcome for sure. Who did?
Back in 05, I was at GMA week with John. Louie was there with Viktor. John and I were eating lunch when he looked up and saw Louie for the first time since their last conversation. On the way out, he made a point to stop by and shake Louie's hand and wish him well. He did not have to. There were alternate exit routes. He made a point to me that it was good for people to see his name and Louie's on the same project, because he believed in reconciliation, which is what Christianity is all about. John is not a dictator. He IS VERY strong willed and determined to do what he has to do to make it.
Until you know all of the ins and outs, it will be easy to pick a side. After you know the ins and outs, it will not be so easy. At the end of the day, it was what it was.

Simple minds......
How did you twist this into an anti Schlitt and people gettin' fired thing? The topic was Five Finger Dicount Tag The Hot Petra Fan Lychins, not Louie or the evil John for takin' care of business.
No person should be bigger than the band. But the band shold take care of it's own. There are more sides to this story. You know the PC version, which has been changed by both parties over time. So shut your trap. You have no idea of the financial stress, personality clashes, etc that led up to Louie's exit from the mighty band.
You wouldn't be the promotor that booked a Petra show in Enid and then stiffed them would ya?
