Hi everybody,

For the Admins, this is definately Petra related just bare with me.

I started co-hosting a radio show on www.spazzradio.com called the Rock show about three months ago where we play secular "Rock" songs and talk about the spiritual content and topics those songs cover. I sent out an email a couple months ago about the show that apparently Dorla Schlitt forwarded to Sue when she received it. She seemed to be intrigued by the concept. More about that in a minute...

Anyway, one of our sister shows is hosted by a lady named Vicki LaBrock. She plays nothing but Christian metal and hard rock. She is a former Chicago DJ that became a Christian and is now serving God. She went from hanging out with some pretty big secular acts to lifting the name of Jesus!! The draw back is that in her commercials for her show she mentioned that her show is a "Stryper free Zone." I played off of this and we started a little rivalry that ended last night on the air in a game of Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots! When all was said and done I had technically lost the bout, but earlier I had given her a copy of Petra's Jeckyl and Hyde. She had not heard Petra since WAAAAAAYYY back and seemed impressed by the sound.

On her profile she not only had declared her show a "Stryper Free Zone" but also "Petra Free" We know that's not cool!! So after the dust cleared last night she said "on air" that she wasn't going to play Stryper but that she would definatley play Petra now!!

Even though Petra has retired it is good to still be able to get their music out there for the public to hear. So in the end I was declared the winner. You can listen or download the show here http://trs-spazz.podomatic.com/ > We talk about John Schlitt in there and I mention my love for the band.

In related news, Sue and I are talking about having John come on the show and talk about his early days in rock. Look for that down the road...

Always doing my part for Petra,

Enosh

ps. you can check out pictures and a little video of the bout if you follow the Blog spot link in my signature.

If'n you don't have a name for the show, or a segment, how about "The Nosh Pit?" That's a freebie.

You're welcome.

Hey, there's an idea. Maybe Jonathan would like to come on the show sometime. Jon, you were in drama and the arts. This coming week we have a professor from Spring Arbor on to discuss the arts and today's social climate. Would be cool to have your perspective. Even if it was just the chat room this time, it would be cool to maybe have you on air in the future. Jonathan + Enosh makes for great radio!

You and Jonathan on a radio show...together...at the same time? I don't know that radio is ready to handle that. 8)

I think it's cool you're doing a radio show, and I did get your e-mail telling me about it, I've just been slow-pokey about answering it. I will reply to it soon.
