John sounds so different doing German! It's very cool, though - many Germans have already said he did a very good job.

I was unsure what link on the website to go to since it was in German, but I assumed it was the one starting "radio." :) I couldn't get it to load, I'll try later, and I'll look to see if it's on John's website or on his myspace or facebook sites. As someone who is learning Spanish (it's been on ongoing process for ages), I know what a challenge it is to learn another language. It's good that he took the time to learn the words in German, I'm sure the German fans appreciated it.

What does that mean?

We'll be doing something with this song in a bit... it's very neat to hear the German version. The song has been re-worked and re-recorded, along with 3 other singers. It's really unique and fun to listen to.

Uh-oh! John has a hard enough time remembering lyrics in english. LOOKOUT!!! Don't slip up John.

Remember this great Bob Hartman Lyric?

"and The purse of his plan is misleading!"

Don't recognize the lyric? Come on! It's the end of the second verse of No Doubt. At least it was on that day when we played it. :)

Which part is it Enosh?

There's a time to take a reckless leap of faith
There's a time to be cautious and wait
And there's a way of learning from the past
That this time of trouble won't last
And sometimes we want to think we know
The ways He will choose to make us grow
But it's never the way of our choosing
And we can't always see what He's using

Not sure why I posted "Um yeah" guess I was confused, will have to visit that link again.

I thought I heard John say at a concert that he wrote it. Either way, it is a darn fine song.

This is the way I heard it sung that night:

There are times when you feel like you can't go on
There are times when you feel like giving in
And there are times when you feel like you can't fry anymore
There are times of trouble and you're bleeding.
This test of your faith will last
As long as I takes to task
Till you have no more doubt you'll endure
And your rake will emerge with manure

(Chorus)
No doubt it'll be a bite
With God it'll work together for good
No doubt in the end it will be understood
No doubt I do not work out
Get Faith to jump in that fountain for us
No doubt in the power of Jesus
And after all is done we find out
All we really need to have is no doubt

There's a time to take a reckless leap of faith
There's a time it will make us constipate
And there's a way of learning from the past
That this time gas bubbles won't last
And sometimes we want to think we know
The ways He will choose to step on toes
But it's never the way of our choosing
And we can't always see who Bobs suing

There will be winters in the seasons of our soul
With a cold and bitter wind and loss of wives
But our faith can be building a fire
That will warn us till springtime arrives
