Questions for Sue re: Ontario Schlitt dates this weekend

Hi Sue,
A couple of questions re: Schlitt in Ontario
1. The Cambridge concert seems to be set for one hour in length according to the church's site. Will the Barrie concert be any longer?
2. Is John using tracks or band? Either way it would be great to see him.
3. Are you and/or Dorla coming along?
I live less than an hour from Barrie, and about an hour and a half from Cambridge. So far leaning towards the Cambridge date for the cheaper ticket price.
Haven't seen John live since the Farewell tour in London.
God bless you, dave

HI Dave! Good to see you here again.
1. The Cambridge concert seems to be set for one hour in length according to the church's site. Will the Barrie concert be any longer?
Yes. The one in Barrie will be John's usual timeframe... around 1 hr. 20 mins-30 mins.. The one in Barrie is a fund-raiser, which is why the cost is higher.
2. Is John using tracks or band? Either way it would be great to see him.
He is using a guitarist/pianist - David Teems, and it will be acoustic with tracks and straight acoustic. David is very good and this will be a real special treat.
3. Are you and/or Dorla coming along?
No, sadly. Dorla usually doesn't go along - not that she doesn't want to, but most churches are not able to pay multiple airfares. I'm not either, for the same reason.

Thanks for the responses Sue. Sorry u and Dorla will not be in attendance, but it's totally understandable.
Lookin' forward to the Cambridge show, hoping to hear a nice mix of Schlitt gems and Petra tunes.
Safe travels to all.

That really sucks!!!!
I live in Barrie and on Mapleview.
John will literally be 3 min up the road from me.
This weekend is just too packed to get out and see him in the other cities.
Hopefully John can make it back this way again soon.
Hope he enjoys his stay in Canada, we love it when he's here!

Main points he made: 1. Christians don't need to be fluff and puff doormats. Jesus got angry at the moneychangers in His Father's house.

Highlites for me: Getting my pic with him finally, and hearing BB live again!
Matthew RJ were u there? Where were you sitting. My wife and I were in the 3rd row. I was wearing my Pethead shirt.
I will be putting my pics of the show on facebook in a day or two, so anyone who wants to see them add me as a friend!

Thanks for the report, Dave.
Sounds like all went well!
I appreciate your jotting down the 'points' of John's 'speeches' (hehehe... yes, sometimes they ARE speeches).
In particular I want to make mention of: 5. He is not done yet.
If anyone has seen or heard John recently, you'll know for a fact that the Lord still has work for him to do and he's far from retirement.
Sometimes we don't quite understand how the Lord is working or putting things together, but one thing we DO know - God is not thru with John Schlitt just yet!

Thanks sue for posting those shots from Barrie and Bradford. Don't know how u got them though. Good to see!
I was going to ask John about his next solo cd, but all i could think to say was 'Thanks for the years of ministry'.
If i can figure out how to link my pics i will eventually here.

Ah... I have far-reaching contacts throughout the WORLD!
I got them from a friend who was there - he sent them to me last night. His daughter was running the merch table at Barrie.
I'll be getting some pro photos of the Cambridge show tonight or tomorrow... professional shots by a photographer that belongs to the church, so I'm really looking forward to seeing those!

Ahhh, there was a lady running around with a pro looking camera during the show. She took several shots, of John and the audience. Look forward to seeing those myself!
That's cool u have a friend in Barrie. We go shopping there a fair spell!

He doesn't actually live there -- he was passing thru with his wife & daughter, who is a singer - and here's the Petra tie-in: BOB played on his daughter's album.
Shiloh is only 18, but a great lyricist and singer - according to BOB - and if BOB said it - we know it's true!

now back to John - here's a video from the Cambridge show:

I hope I am not the only pethead who bought the Shiloh-Sheray album, just because Bob is playing on it?
