I think I deleted the main offender and all his junk.
In the config section, activation was set to "user". I thought I had it on Admin, and I set it back there. Not sure how it changed.
This thing *desperately* needs an update to PHPBB 3. Would like to get away from PHP entirely but I don't think that's gonna happen soon.
If any of the long time users wants to update and configure it and install any plugin that seems right, I'll give you ssh access.
Or maybe I could this weekend. Have tons of things to do (which is why I haven't yet) but I suppose this could be one.
