Well guys... we've hit a snag. I emailed Bob Hartman, and as usual he was nice enough to email back... and he doesn't know what happened to the master films of the Captured in Time & Space video. He theorizes that they may have been thrown away at some point by Star Song. So now we've got to figure out what the next step is... I've talked to the producer of the album, the director of the video, the librarian/archivist at EMI (EMI now owns Star Song), Greg X. Volz, and Bob Hartman, and so far nobody knows where the source material is. It's starting to look like the best source for a DVD would be a good clean VHS copy... and at this point, I'd recommend Judboy's services for anyone who wants a copy on DVD. He's very excited about the idea, and unless we can find a good source somewhere (maybe someone at the video pressing plant secreted away a copy or something?) his work may be the best bet.

Michael, I am sorry to hear that. It looks like someone would have a clue as to what happened to the original masters. I would like to get this done. What will be required of me?

It's not surprising that this has happen, but I do wonder why Bob didn't keep records of this. Even though the Star Song had the rights to it, Bob still owned the Petra name at that time. I do believe John owns it know right?

I believe Bob is the sole owner of the name "Petra" now. John is the owner of the touring Petra, though, so there may be some dual ownership thing going on there.

I'm not that surprised that Bob didn't try to wrestle a master of that video from the record company. I'll sure bet he owns a VHS of it, though!
