I think everyone is happy for him. Some people like to be sarcastic on here. But not Jonathan, of course. He is always totally sincere. He even said so one time. Or something like that. : )

Let it be known, I think it's a great story for Cristian. Pretty awesome to grow up a fan of a certain band, and then be able to play with them.

I'll bite...Sue, what kind of dreams were you having?

I think it's awesome for Cristian, as a foreigner you kinda have more of a respect for Petra's ministry cause it always seemed so far away as a kid, and just a real dream. I have no doubt he will do an awesome job.

Dreams of YOU, my dear.... dreams of a dark stranger, dressed in black with a white face... I see him in my dreams every night....

Excited to hear Petra is at Heavenfest...I live in the the Denver area so this is a no brainer. And the best news it that I get to take my kids to hear them...

Big question I have is, does anyone know how long will they be playing? Since this is a special reunion show, I would hope they would give them an hour, but I'm afraid it's going to be a 30 minute slot if we are lucky....so does anyone know?

Petra has always been bigger than any individual member. It is about the MINISTRY. As long as that heart is the same...it is Petra.

Just checking. Wasn't sure if they are calling it the Farewell lineup or not. Thought maybe it would be called The New Petra or something.

Let's not get to religious about it all. Sure God uses them, but God uses everything to accomplish his will. If it were about just ministry, Petra would be out doing work gratis.

I know that Petra ministers through their music. But if we want to get picky about it, ministry is not payed for. Ministry is given with no expectations, only that God will complete what he has started through the timely spirit-lead work of his clean vessels. Petra is a commercial band, not a non-profit ministry. They make money performing. They do not go out for free and minister. The are picky about what gigs they take. Their buyers are pre-qualified more or less. The buyers must have the green jack benjis and lots of them. There is nothing wrong with this. We all must make a living. But lets not gloss over the stark realities. The reason why Petra no longer exists is the same reason all of our old favs cease to exist: they are no longer commercially viable in the current market for whatever reason. Money keeps bands performing.
