Hello Everyone,
Mat has officially quit the AndBand.
Any Bass Players who can sing well in the greater Michigan area who would like the opportunity of a lifetime?
Email me.

I'm gonna miss that character. I hope everything goes well and you find another bass player quickly.

I quit? When? ...Enosh? ... ...anyone...? ...help me...
Nah, I'm just kidding. 'Tis true, my fellow Petra-friends. I have hung up the noble bass (It was Enosh's anyway) and have decided ('course the strap is still mine...) that my short-lived career in Andband (never liked that name) would remain short-lived. (Though technically I never quit. I simply told Enosh that I was unable to play in any upcoming summer shows because I had other things on my platter that simply could not be pushed aside. Plus that whole Canadian/Usa border thing was getting a little annoying, too!) Perhaps it's just as well. Enosh is right. It is an opportunity of a lifetime to play with a professional such as John Schlitt. And, might I add, it was an honour to play with the calibur of musicianship that Andband was made up of - Bryan, Jon and Enosh. I'll miss those times, but fortunately I have a video collage of the six shows we did with John that none of the guys have even seen yet. Almost every song that we played with John is on it. I'll cherish it forever. After all, it's not too many times in life that you can say you played with John Schlitt!
Thanks to all you guys who encouraged me while I was in Andband. Who knows, one day I may have the opportunity to play again. I'm still playing though. In fact, I'm quite busy as a singing impressionist and at one of the shows I was asked to play 15 songs on my guitar with a band that will be covering songs from Ken Tamplin, and other Christian artists. I thought it would be cool since I hadn't played guitar in a band since Blood N' Fire. Unfortunately I sold my stage gear. Fortunately though, within the week, I had a 5150 Eddie Van Halen Peavey Combo Amp (sorry J Schlitt - he don't like Peavey for live performances.), a midiverb effects unit, 2 celestian speakers to take the place of the old ones, and a customized foot switch. Boy, God provides! So I get to sing and play guitar again. Yee-haa!
Anyway, my clock is telling me that 2:30 AM is waaay too late to be on the computer, especially since I have to work in the morning.

Your friend,
Mat.

Matt,
Sorry to see you won't be performing with JS and the infamous & Band. You definately brought a flair to the proceedings! Good luck to you on your upcoming endeavors.
Enosh, good luck finding a new bass player.!

Hey Brother Tom!
Good to hear from you. Well, I got a couple of people who've responded so far. We'll see what happens.

Question: what if they can sing well, but not if they are in Michigan? What if they sound world-class in Ohio, but something about Michigan just brings out the worst in them???

Hey, I have no problem if someone wants to drive a great distance to part of something like this. Although, it is Ohio, and I am a big Michigan fan. But if the talent's there, I can be forgiving. haha They would however need to sound good in Michigan as well as Ohio or anywhere else we might play.
If you want to come from Austrailia, I don't care. But I'm not covering all that airfare. haha

not very....
Petra is the priority right now, so that means John solo takes a back seat.
Hard to book a solo act without knowing for sure where & when Petra's playing.
