Hi guys,

Anybody here has an LP of XAVIER released by Greg X. Volz (see details below)? Or a CD copy of it?

I know someone who has the LP Because I Am musical which include Greg & the e band and some Christmas songs by Greg. I am willing to trade a CD copy of this for a Xavier CD copy. Or we can transfer & remaster your Xavier LP into CD for you and you'll still get the Origianl LP back plus a CD copy of it and the items mentioned above.

Let me know.

Thanks & God bless!

I have it.

And I am very interested in getting it transferred to CD.

I have emailed you at the address you listed in your post. Hopefully it is still valid.

Contact me if you are still interested. I have marked this post to email me if any replies are posted, so you are welcome to reply here or email directly by viewing my profile.

If you don't get a response to your e-mail, I would also be willing to transfer the LP to CD.

You can e-mail me at [email protected]

Cool.

I'll post back here in a few days. And I very well may take you up on your offer. Let's see if I get a response from the original poster. In either case, you'll hear from me soon here on this thread.

I'm brand new to this board, but a huge fan of Greg Volz and early Petra. I'd love to get my hands on a copy of this as well or any other e work he has out there out of print. I don't have much in the way of anything to trade though. Anyone willing to copy it for blanks?

I don't actually have it at my place right now but I will soon. Once I do, I'm going to do what it takes to get it transferred onto CD - either doing it myself or maybe taking preacherman up on his offer. Once the CD transfer is complete, I'll post some info.

Thanks for reviving this post! It's a reminder of this unique album, a true gem for hard core Petra fans and a pleasure to listen to and enjoy.

A while ago, one fellow who maintained a Petra fan site got permission from the producer to post a digital copy of the album to his website. I think it was guidetopetra.com, but the site is currently down with an undated notice saying it will be back soon.

I got permission back in the day from the producer/songwriter to offer the files for download on petrafiles.com. That website is not available anymore in its original form. Not sure if we are going to make them available in any other way, especially since the full album is available on youtube.

Well then, I have you to thank for my copy of the album that I have squirreled away in my music collection.

In the song, "Don't Look Back," Greg sings, "Keep on goin'. Keep on goin'." After hearing this, I was reminded of Greg's live TBN performance in 2010 with the newly unveiled Classic Petra. As he was trying to stir up the crowd in between "More Power To Ya" and "Let Everything That Hath Breath (Praise The Lord)," Greg began an impromptu chant saying, "Somebody say, 'Just keep goin'.' Somebody say, 'Just keep goin'.'" I find it interesting that these similar encouraging lines were recorded nearly 30 years apart.
