a biblical question

Post by epdc » Tue Nov 30, 2004 6:22 pm

ya know that the devil was once an angel and when he wanted to be like God God kicked him out of Heaven. First, I thought "in what part of the Bible says that? and then I realized I already know that, is in Ezechiel?? is that how you write it? well is Ezequiel in spanish.

But, if you read the whole chapter and not just the verse where it says that you`ll see that that`s actually a phrophecy agains`t a kingdom so my question is, how do the people that study the Bible knew that that verse was about satan`s past???

I think it's either in Isaiah or Ezekiel. I'll see if I can find it for you. :)

He still is an angel. He took 1/3 of the angels with him. God made Lucifer to be the brightest, best looking, most talented of all. Some people say that he was the "leader of a choir" but that is no where in scripture. He was so taken with himself that he got hell bent on being "like God".

Meanwhile on earth preachers are preaching that same heresy, that we are gods.

I found it mi Eloita. It's in Isaiah 14 starting in verse 12. Jesus quoted Isaiah a number of times, too. If it's something that's being said against a kingdom, it's probably warning them about pride. Pride was Satan's big downfall. I'll see if I can find out some more about how they would know it's about Satan. I'm curious now. :)

I couldn`t read it all, just a part (i don`t have time right now but i saved it on my puter) and what I read was really interesting if we compare those verses with many others of the Bible, it makes it make sense ya know. Thank you :)
