I've always liked Rammstein, but all their lyrics are not so nice.

Your point?

RJ, I do so tire of your anti-american sentiments. It would be one thing if you were provoked by an attack against you or your country, but you consistently attack America with no cause. Please stop.

I'm waiting for their next album, which will be all about their Nazi grandfathers and their communist uncles and their unemployed cousins. Oh, if only I could be a Kraut.

i think you as the listener will decide what sense you wanna give to the song :D I kinda like it because somehow "we all are living in Amerika", if you come to hermosillo, where I live, is like being on the states, mac donald`s everywhere, disney channels, if you go to europe you will find a lot of american stores maybe or american products, american movies, somehow the whole world is becoming "amerika" though I rather call it "USA" .

Whoa Comrades,

As someone of Russian heritage and with an understanding of Russian history, I am not so eager to call RJ a Stalin or the Rammstein lyrics a communist call to arms. I don't think what he is suggesting is a revolt against the United States. I think in some well denied inferiority complex of their own nation, Americans associate critical self-analysis with a lack of patriotism. I think true patriots of their nations ask themselves serious questions not only of what makes their nation great, but what doesn't and what needs change. Ask the Americans who are bankrupted by medical expenses if their nation is a great nation? Ask the mentally disturbed veteran living in Central Park if their country is above critique? Ask the teenage Honduran girl working in a Walmart sweatshop for 5 cents an hour if America is above reproach? I think in all corners, we can find things that are admirable about America or its aspirations. But let us not forget that while any nation may invoke God's blessing it is always confined in some aspects by the humanity of the people and philosophies that guide it.

Olga, I don't know how long you've been watching the zone, but in case you don't know, there have been NUMEROUS posts made on this board by those of non-American heritage that were UNPROVOKED sucker-punches intended to insult those of us who live and believe in the greatest nation in the world - America. Most people who post here are tired of them. I, for one, cannot turn a blind eye to it, and as a result, I get a little snippy.

Bad things happen in every country and in every form of government. Those who want to trade barbs to see who can land the best insult should find a different forum - there are plenty of them out there. Sure, I could start picking apart Russia or any other country out there by focusing only on the bad things or the poor conditions that exist - but what good would it do? And I bet I would have more to pick at.

There is no greater place in the world to live than in America, in spite of the problems we have here. The fact that America is scorned by so many around the world is proof that people are jealous of the freedoms we have here and the opportunities we have here to live out our dreams.

If Bush is such an ignoramus, he would therefore be too easy a target. Its like the bully in high school picking on retards, isn't it? Totally worth it, huh? Make you feel smart?

Don't get me wrong, I'm usually the last to defend my government, regardless of political affiliation. If there was another nation greater, I'd move there. Our famous people keep threatening to move to Canada, but they never do...wonder what keeps them here...it sure isn't the gay marriage, that abomination is your department.

And another thing, don't talk about the US Civil War like you know what happened. It was bad, but it was about many other things, slavery probably being the least of them.

Folks...Every country has had a civil war at some point, and slavery is a very sad thing that has existed much longer than the U.S. has. The Greeks and Romans had slaves. The Israelites were slaves in Egypt. And does anyone realize tribes in Africa enslaved each other in the 1700s? You don't hear too much about that.

welcome to the zone :D

WOW, so you are from Russia????? WOW!!!! COOL *two thumbds up*

it really makes me mad you guys get mad if someone tells you stuff about your country, if you guys would attack my country i wouldn`t get mad :P i know we have mistakes tons of them but i also knows great thing s about my country. just make an small point i haven`t felt that the american petheads recognize mistakes in their country, it seems like the whole defense is to prove the rest of the foreigner`s opinions are wrong and that amerika is awesome. I totally agree america has great opportunities of living, i really know it, but hey, there`s nothing wrong in saying once in a while "ya know, yeah, our system has this problem" and be honest. If you would attack my country i would do that.

and PLEASEEEEE we are not attacking YOU with are attacking the system.

BUT, I totally aggree that is not of our bussiness as foreigners to attack your country guys and I aplogyzr for hurting feelings.
