Just to be clear, I have nothing against Daniel. I'm just pointing out some issues I see with what happened. I think having a private forum for mods/admins would help alleviate the feeling of being overwhelmed because all the mods could discuss issues that were occurring and decide a best course of action as a group. Having some basic rules would also give us grounds for any disciplinary action we might take.

Yeah I think the above actions need to be taken; I do think a basic rules post needs to be posted and marked at the top of each topic section.

Agreed. I'm thinking particularly of why a Petra-related thread that turned to politics was closed whereas one that turned to religion was left open for pages and pages. They both should have either been closed on the Petra side with the off-topic parts moved here or both simply been moved in their entirety. Of course, as someone who has been a group-blog comoderator, I understand it's really hard to be consistent, especially when you're doing it all by yourself. Me and my fellow blog mods set up a realllly low-tech way of discussing potential problems: the Cc field in our email.
