Web Browsers
In the last little while IE10 and now IE11 bounce me out of my username and just allow me to browse as guest.
However, Chrome and Firefox have no issues.
Anyone experience anything similar?

Re: Web Browsers
Could be it something to do with a saved password? Just a thought. I've never liked IE. In some versions of Windows it's slow to load and is a hog. It's so easily wrecked by malware as well.
I recently ran into an issue where IE would not load the Verizon website for webmail and such. It would error out, and the error message provided no information that was helpful. I verified that the site worked fine with Chrome. I ran malware and virus scans, did a system restore, uninstalled and reinstalled that version of IE, and nothing worked. I spent a long time searching and didn't find any concrete information on a cause or resolution. Ultimately I solved the problem by upgrading to the next version; the one thing I didn't want to do, but it bugged the heck out of me to go back to the customer and tell them I solved the problem and they could now access their email, but I didn't have answer on what the problem was.
I used to like Firefox back in the day, but it eventually got too beefy for my liking. I stick with Chrome now.

Re: Web Browsers
I generally do not use any other browsers other than Opera. I've been using their browser for so long. I used it when you had to pay for it (of course, now it is free). I generally do not have any problems. It works so well for me and I really like it.

Re: Web Browsers
I agree on not using IE.
Never heard of TOR. Need to check it out.
Unfortunately, in Canada anyway, a lot of commercial banking websites and government websites only work well with IE
Otherwise, think I'll completely switch to Chrome or maybe Tor.

Sounds slow and paranoic. The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location, and it lets you access sites which are blocked.

Re: Web Browsers
It is a pretty fast browsing experience using TOR, you can avoid the bombardment of targeted advertising too, the adverting giants don't know how to handle it. Blocks scripts by default. Mainly tech people and sadly some crims use it to access those dodgy .se domains. The general public don't understand the importance of it.

What is the .se domain mainly for? Never heard of that extension.Daniel wrote:It is a pretty fast browsing experience using TOR, you can avoid the bombardment of targeted advertising too, the adverting giants don't know how to handle it. Re: Web Browsers
What? .se is the top domain for Sweden, like .no is for Norway, .uk for the UK etc. Nothing dodgy about that.

Re: Web Browsers
Probably the most famous piracy torrent site is thepiratebay.se
.se is awesome, was just teasing Boray. They do have less regulation than a .com, .net etc. I am all for less govt. control
