Post by Michael » Tue Jun 28, 2005 3:11 pm

I've posted a review of Trent Thomason's first solo CD on the Guide to Petra. Take a look and tell me what you think!

I think the review was really well-written, Michael. I have the album as well and listen to it often. I think the re-print of the CD will have a different cover design although the music is great. His new one one looks much better than the first. I'm surprised more people haven't heard it.

MJ, your review is very very well written. I enjoyed reading through it and - it makes me want to order Trent's CD. He's talked to me about it and I told him I'd get one.....oops.......I just need to break down and get it.

It is a very good review; I'm going to get the CD. Hehe, Trent sort of reminds me of Mel Gibson in his younger days, 8) :) I listened to some clips of his songs and he has a wonderful voice, he does sound very similar to John Elefante. He could give that lead singer I'm so fond of a run for his money.

Sorry....just another tidbit of information. ChristianDiscs is not the only place to buy Trent's CD's in the U.S. Another good link is:

www.goldusa.com/FCD/F58/f58.html

Both CD's are on the same page. Hope this is useful!

I actually have a number of links available to me for the CD... it doesn't make too much sense for me to post a zillion links on that page, so I post the one that gets me the best affiliate income. Since I pay to keep the site running, I figure it's fair enough to use links that will compensate me five cents per CD or something. :)

I'll be writing a review of Trents second CD soon. It's pretty great, too! Plus, Trent looks like Vanilla Ice on the cover. hehe

I got Trent's CD today, but they sent me the wrong one, LOL. They sent me his "Ten" CD. It's a good one too, I'm going to keep it and order "Hold Out Your Hand" later. I love the way he sings.

Ten

Post by Michael » Sat Jul 09, 2005 9:07 am

Posted my review of Ten this morning; look for the link on the Guide to Petra home page. I'm going to try to start reviewing a former member's solo CD every couple of weeks and see what happens.

great review

Post by Michael » Mon Jul 11, 2005 7:45 am

Thanks! :) I hope I can keep this up for a while... it's kind of nice to have some really new material on the site. Besides retirement information. :(

comments about reviews

Post by Michael » Fri Jul 22, 2005 8:53 am

Actually, except for here on the Zone, I haven't heard anything about them. I don't really have a clear link to my email form or forums about the reviews, so people would really have to put forth some effort to respond. That might be interesting to create a way for people to talk back about that kind of thing.
