Head East

Post by petrafreak2009 » Fri Feb 06, 2009 9:49 am

Hey guys. I'm the new assistant booking agent for Head East. Here's a little background.
Yes, John Schlitt used to sing with them. I'm gonna go deeper. What you should know is that they have a very loyal fan base that has followed them since their founding in 1969. Whew. I'm going to give you some places to look up their discs, CDS, LPS, etc. so you can check them out.
4 of their CD's are on iTunes: Head East- Live on Stage, The Millenium Collection, Alive in America, Head East + Gettin' Lucky, and Concert Classics.
Head East- Live on Stage, Flat As A Pancake(their best byfar, definetly buy this album!), Head East + Gettin' Lucky(which is songs from two of their albums on the same disc), A Different Kind of Crazy(only came out as an import CD, but is 2nd best and is worth the money to get it), Choice of Weapons, Concert Classics(which features two different line-up eras of the band), and the Millenium Collection have all been released on CD format and can be found at most retail and online stores such as Amazon and Best Buy. Many of these can be found also as 8-track, LP and cassette as well.
You may find Get Yourself Up, U.S. 1, and Onward and Upward as 8-track, LP or cassette at most retail or auction stores such as Best Buy and Amazon. There are a few instances where these can be found as CDRs on auction sites and such.
You may download U.S. 1 for free at http://www.studiowner.com/media_library/.
You may also download two new songs at head-east.com, a cover of Raise A Little Hell and a new original, Me and My Whiskey at http://www.head-east.com/audio/helive20 ... 20Hell.mp3 and http://www.head-east.com/audio/helive20 ... hiskey.mp3, respectively.

I hope each one here will take some time and buy one or all of these albums and visit head-east.com and do some more research on this fine band. If you have any questions you can PM or email me at [email protected].

Didn't some guy named Schlitt used to sing for them or something? Maybe he played drums, I can't remember.

Lol. Do any of you have any Head East albums that you'd like to comment about? If anyone is interested, the order in which I would buy these albums is:
1. Flat As A Pancake
2. Gettin' Lucky + Head East
3. Choice of Weapons
4. Different Kind of Crazy.

All of the others I didn't list because either they were live, compilation albums, or are not available in legal CD.

The only one i ever had or even heard, was Flat as a Pancake. And it was only to hear John on it. always heard their hit from that album, Never been any Reason, always liked it too. I think the other lead singer sounded a bit like john, at times it was hard to tell them apart. Why did they have 2 lead singers anyways? or what whaz up with that? There are a couple nice slow songs on there JOhn does really good on it as well.. hearing that, and hearing him today,, he has come quite a ways vocally! John is The Man!
