Incidentally, Brown Bannister, who produced Wake Up Call, also produced Freedom. As I recall, Petra was impressed with how Freedom sounded and so asked him to do Wake Up Call to help them get away from the Elefante arena rock sound (although the story they gave was that they wanted to stay in Nashville instead of traveling to California, I don't really believe that, given the things they said they liked about WUC — more organic sound, everyone actually playing their own instruments on the album, etc. — are Bannister hallmarks and pretty much everything the Elefantes were not).

Re: White Heart
I really like White Heart Highlands album wasn't a typical White Heart album but I found the sound quality, and the lyrics awe-inspiring.
I had the record Hotline, that was pretty cool too, with their original singer Scott.

Re: White Heart
Both Tales of Wonder and Highlands were different from their previous albums...and I had one friend who didn't really like them...I remember him saying "This doesn't sound like any White Heart I know!" But I really liked them, and still do.
Scott had an amazing voice. At the time I was really disappointed...not only in his fall, but losing that voice! In the end, however, Rick Florian was excellent, and I think I probably slightly prefer his vocals to Scotts. The thing that made White Heart a little different is that since Mark Gershmel featured pretty heavily on vocals, the change in lead singer didn't have as much impact on WH as it did for Petra. Plus Ricks voice wasn't a huge departure from Scotts.
By the way, on their Hotline tour, the band did a meet and greet at a couple of the local Christian bookstores...well, one bookstore with two locations. I'm trying to remember who showed up at the one close to my home...I know Scott and Billy, and there was one or two more. I'm pretty sure Mark was NOT there, but can't remember if Gordon was there, or Gary? I'll have to check when I get home...I got them to sign the liner notes from my cassette, which I still have.
Unfortunately, never met any of the Petra guys...even though their Beat The System tour was my first ever concert of any kind!
