Hey Guys:
Anyone here is Amy Grant's fan? My friend who is working at Universal told me that Amy Grant is coming up a new album "Greatest Hits 1986-2004" on October 12th. I am so excited about it, her songs are great.. the new album includes all her biggest hits from the 80s and 90s and couple of the new songs!!! I can't wait!

Hehehehe. You are brave.

We've had some pretty lively discussions about her.
At the risk of being labeled a raging heathen, I like her, her early stuff especially. Not everyone here feels that way though.

Alright now, let's not go picking on Amy again. Yeah, I'm not what you would call a big fan of hers, but she had a lot to do with the evolution of CCM, and Petra benefited from that.

I was just playing also, All of us have fallen short, and I sure don't look at any other person bad if they have done so. I still listen to some of her older stuff.

Heart In Motion is a great pop album. One of the best in her category at that time in my opinion.
Lead Me On

I prefer Lead Me On, althout Heart in Motion is very nice.

I have heard very little of Amy Grant, but "Thy Word" and "Emmanuel" are definitely classics.

My most recent favorite of hers is Hymns & Legacies but I am a sedimental old codger. (And nobody better comment on the Mental part of that!

)
Yeah, I like her older stuff up to Lead Me On but then I lost interest in her, not because of her choices but because of her musical direction....until Hymns & Legacies. I haven't heard her most recent work though.
All I got to say on the whole Amy Grant debate is this (and please take this in the way it was intended..non-judgemental): Judge not lest ye be judged. Or paraphrased in my own words, Judging is not my job...don't want it, to much responsibility. Plus, I don't want to take away God's job!!
Nuff said!! God bless!

Yeah, I remember a very hot discussion about this in the not-to-distant past.
We have Simple Things. The first few songs are good, but beyond that, I think her best material came from the '90s.
By the way, I'm posting this while moving down the highway using my Blackberry... Hope this makes it through.
