Well Sam.. I actually dropped the Pethead name about 2 years ago.. :) I've had 3 names since then. So I guess you will just have to deal with it in your old age... j/k

Pethead didn't really fit me anymore since I have branched way out into other music. Sad to say, Petra is no longer the band I listen to the most (That would be Stryper) I have morphed into an 80's metalhead now. :o

Anyway. Thanks everyone for your welcome. It's good to see ya again. And no Elo, you didn't scare me off. hehe

Soldiers, so-whoa-whoal-diers, under command . . .

I like how a lot of Stryper's guitar solos aren't just single notes at a time - but are chords of two or three notes at a time. (Think those crazy riffs in "To Hell With the Devil" and "Always There for You" and you know what I'm talking about)

And sometimes their background vocals have four or five parts (think "Sing-Along Song" or "Free" or "In God We Trust" and you know what I'm referring to)

Listen, kaisho-san

Well, After seeing them in concert, I can tell you.

Both Oz and Michael play guitar on most the songs and many times they solo together (if that makes sence) It is awesome to see live. As far as the backgroud vox, Michael sings lead, Oz Fox, Tim Gaines, and the Keyboardist all do backgrounds. The keyboardist is never part of the band, but there is one at all the shows. It has been the same guy most of the time though.

Jeff,
Yeah, yeah, make me feel OLD.....that's ok, John's still 8 years older than I am! Hah!

Well, I didn't even notice you dropped the Pethead name, ummm, that shows how much attention I pay!! Well, guess I got an excuse with all what's been happening in my life in the last two years!

Well, I'm glad you are morphing, that means you are broadening your music horizon :P :P
I remember the couple Stryper gigs I went to, they were fun to watch, it was a great concert. I didn't get a chance to talk to them much, but they did seem like a bunch of nice guys.
I love the 80's music too by the way.

Whiteheart isn't as hard as Petra. They aren't bad though. Most of their stuff is good Radio Rock IMO. They do have some rockings songs though.

you can't deny there's awesome hard rock from the 90's also

How would you say their styles of music evolved throughout 1982 - 1997?

Not sure on that one. I don't have all of their stuff. Only a few of their Greatest Hits albumes and Wales of Thunder.. or is that Tales of Wonder? Anyway, it is pretty good. They do have one very hard song called Inside, but not sure what album it is off of.

I heard the Gersh disc, but didn't really like it. Too pop for my taste.
