Peterson guy kills two?

Post by brent » Mon Dec 13, 2004 4:53 pm

Ok, the Scott Peterson moron kills his wife, who happens to be pregant. So, the press makes a big a deal about it, and the court system upholds the notion that he can be held on trial for two counts of murder.

NOW. Why is it that people are hacked off that he killed an unborn baby, and will be convicting Peterson for it, yet, in the same legal system, we can approve of abortion? Can we say double standard?

It is ok for a women to do it but not a man? If I were Al Sharpton, I would be on my geri curl soap box screaming discrimination. what happened to equal rights for the man? Of course you know that this is sarcastic. I hope he dies.

Some people have a problem with the death penalty. I do not. The verse normally used to oppose it biblicial is the one that says "Vengeance is mine saith the Lord." If you look up vengeance, and use it in the context of God's ability to only do things in love and holiness, then punishment/reaping what you've sown, is VERY different than vengeance, which is a holy judgement/rath. Sodom and Gamora got it.

God never once said not to obey the law of the land, not to punish, not to defend even unto death. In fact, he said the opposite.

It does say something that Peterson was tried and convicted of killing his baby when abortion is legal. There's something wrong with that picture.

The guy is a monster, but that is an issue for another thread.

Re: Brent's and Shell's remarks...

If I remember correctly, a lot of feminists/liberals/pro-abortionists were extremely AGAINST Scott Peterson being tried for 2 counts of murder...because it completely torn down their argument that a woman is pregnant with a "fetus", not a baby.

Here's a point I always make when debating with a pro-abortion person.
If a woman is pregnant with a "fetus", and not a baby...then at what exact moment does the "fetus" TURN INTO a baby? 3 months? 6 months? 8 months? 8 months, 23 days, 48 minutes, 16 seconds? When the woman gives birth? I try to get them to nail down a SPECIFIC time, to show how utterly stupid and wrong their argument is.

This usually leaves the pro-abortion person unable to answer, and they usually resort to either hurling insults and/or storming off in a huff. But at the same time, it also makes them THINK. Pro-abortion females especially go into complete hysterics when I bring up this argument...some of them almost violent.

Oh, by the way...I support the death penalty. In fact, I think it should be expanded to not only cover the crime of murder, but also child molestation and rape. Some crimes are so outside of society's norms, that they should be dealt with extreme severity.

I`m agree with you all. I mean, if you want the baby FINE give me him/her a chance to live and give him/her to adoption. There are tons of couples who want a baby so badly.

about the dealth penalty...I`m also agree with it but..... well, the case must be very investigated and only in some cases ya know though I also think that a better punishment would be all life in prison ya know, I think that would be a huge pain to be locked forever and I think some people deserve that , I think that by killing them people is being merciful somehow ya know.

If we would just clean out all death row inmates right now, and spend that money on education (main-line that money to teacher's pockets directly, not the beaurocrats), then we wouldn't have so many inmates. Each inmates costs us millions of dollars per year to support, educate, provide cable TV, college educations, health and legal services, etc, etc.

We ought to send ALL convicted murder's over to fight the war. They like to kill? Fine. Let them at it. Give them a pay-off for taking out the most wanted.

Brent - quote: "We ought to send ALL convicted murder's over to fight the war. They like to kill? Fine. Let them at it. Give them a pay-off for taking out the most wanted."

Wow, wow, awesome thought, Brent. The problem is, I don't think people who are convicted murders would have the attitude in which they'd be willing to submit to command or undergo military training. [/b]
