Okay, I feel kinda out-of-place here......uhhh........I'm like 15, and I kinda need to know the ages of the people here (on most boards I'm on the people there are usually 15-19).....and is this board like a fansite or does Petra actually have something to do with it?

Petra isn't really associated with this particular web site; they probably know better.

(Joking). This is just a place where Petra fans can post. I think the people here are a little older than 19 for the most part, but there are some people in their early 20s.
Check out inpoop.com for people a little younger. I would tell you to check out inpop.com too, but that has been down for quite awhile now and I'm beginning to wonder if it's history.

Whoa, sweet! What d'ja say?
You're 15 years old?Wow, I've been the youngest on here e'er since I joined in 2002.
Aunt Shell likes to make fun of young people
In a good way, of course. That "you young-o-san" joke still eats at my heart. Nah, nah, nah, just kidding, Shell!
Well, many welcomes to here, johnthe UM freak. I don't know what an UM is, but I guess it must be something to be a freak about. My name is Ketchup Psych-cho and it's my pleasure to be funny. Actually my original user name was yamamoto-san 'n' then I changed it to yamasaki moto 'n' then I changed it to what it is now. I don't know what "seichu" or "kaisho" mean in Japanese, or if they're even words at all.
My real name is Dan Reynolds and I'm not of any Asian origin at all, but I have a healthy obscession with some foreign languages and cultures. Estudiaba espaol por cinco aos - oops, sorry, I mean - I've studied Spanish for 5 years and I like to learn some Japanese every now and then. Me be's Petra fan since kidhood. I go to school at University of Northern Iowa, but I'm off for break till January 10! Yay hoo! I plan to major in music performance on the trombone (which I play in, like, 4 bands).

Oh yeah, and I forgot to say I'm 19 years old. Not too much older than you. Although I do gotta thick stash-and-beard growin' on my face. Someday soon, stash-and-beard's gonna become slash-and-burn because every time I grow da hair out, I eventually clean shave after a month or so.
But if I should ever boast about anything, no matter how proud I may be to be a classic rock fan, a UNI student (go Panther'z!),or a spicy Mexican food addict, The only thing I should boast in is my faith in Jesus and that I have eternal salvation because of His unending grace, despite my vast history of sins. I'm goin' to heaven and I'm gonna be there with you all forever!
I suppose every single regular reader of the Petra Zone is already a saved Christian, but if anyone here hasn't yet come to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation, Now's the time! Experience His love!
But I'm guessing no one here is non-Christian so I probably wasted those words.

15 eh? I'm twice that plus two... I'll let you do the math.

I have been a Petra fan since I was 12 years old. My first Petra tape (no CDs in the day) was Captured in Time and Space. I couldn't decide which Petra tape to buy first since they were all good (naturally), but since CITAS was only a few bucks more and had the most songs on it from several different tapes I decided to buy it. Plus it was live to boot! I popped it in last night and it hit me... that was 20 years ago. Before some of you were born! Since then, I have collected every Petra tape, now CD and even have "Never Say Die" on a one of those really big CDs that my parents use to have.... I think they called them records. I probably could sell that for a pretty price on E-bay, but won't.

Welcome JohnUMFreak (it's a long nickname btw)!
So with regard to age, I started listening to Petra when I was 16 years old (12 years ago)...so you do the math.
SEichu: Thank you for offering the Gospel dude. Sometimes we forget to do that assuming we have all heard it, but even I can say I need to be reminded of it and repent of my ways. ..every day of my life! I need my Savior!

..I think I have about half of their albums already....and I listen to them just about everyday........I also have some questions about petra (even tho I have researched them all over), and I'm hoping some of you will be able to answer them.

There are plenty of nice websites about Petra. The ones called Guide to Petra and Petra Rocks My World are those I recommend most. (Maybe you've already visited them, though.)
I know how you feel about bing a teenage Petra fan - the members of the youth groiup I was involved with in high school rarely ever listened to 'em.

I'm one of the "old fogeys" around here too..........yet, I'm always thrilled to hear when young people appreciate and enjoy Petra's music! The songs are inspiring and the music rocks too. Glad you joined this board and I'm sure there's several of us "oldies" who can answer your questions.

well, in my case I`m 20 years old, and I`m from Mxico

and I`m not a DUDE but a GIRL hehehe.
I know what you mean, when I first came here I was 16 years old and it was weird to be the youngest one, now I`m not anymore muahaha

, I thought it was going to be weird to hang out with people older than me in the two conventions I have been but MAN I had a blast! believe me, sometimes you just can`t tell the ages at all
