Praying!

I am posting this for people that are having a hard time in there lives. My wife and i have had the hardest first year and a half as a married couple as anyone. We have delt with me loosing 3 jobs,her grandfather passing away,my health being not great at all. But let me tell you,that through all this somehow Meagan and I have not turned our backs on Jesus. And Meagan was not raised in a Christian home,she says that through my faith hers has grown stronger,now i can't say that I have been the best of Christians,but I have shown that I will not give up on my Savior cause He has never and will never give up on His children,Sue,and Sam,Warren all know what has been delt to me. And the way I see it is that my Lord went through soo much pain for us that surely I can deal with what I am going through,although I really do not like it. Sam has been very good to me and I hope that I have been encouraging to Her as well. One day we might have to write a song about Pain,faith and patience. Well it is not over and I might have to go through this again but I just want everyone to know that all will be good sometime if here on earth or in Heaven,we must keep our eyes on Jesus and still serve Him no matter what! you never know who you will touch. thanks for all your prayers and Meagan and I see all your request also and pray for each and everyone. see its people like you and your wife that give the rest of us hope, i'm not married, but i hope to find that one that's not going to give up on marrage or life or God when times are tough.

In a world like we have today, its hard to find those that are in it for the long hall and you guys are in it for the long hall.

ya know Steve, how nice you think that way and I`m sure many here are heavey duty christians and think that way.

In my family usually the guy rans away when there are problems and women have to take control of it. In my family guys usually are stupid and commits mistake after mistake hurting EVERYONE and never sit down to listen the wife`s opinion.

In my family the wife can be sick and the guy just will leave to work and won`t do anything.
In my family guys usually think more in themselves than in their family so they spend money in stupid stuff and forget what the family needs.

In my family men doesn`t express their feelings so when the wife is trying to talk to him and how to work things out he doesn`t talk.
In my family wives do all they can for work things out and men just don`t cooperate.

If you ask me marriage sucks, but well, it`s just my opinion, I`m sure the rest of you might have histories with happy endings, I don`t have happy endings, this is all I know about marriage.

You're not required to get married, Elo, but don't just base that decision on other people's bad experiences. Of course it's terrible that they would hit a lady, but those ladies need to stop and ask themselves why they would want to allow that too. You don't have to stay in a bad relationship and allow yourself to be hit, that is their decision. I know it may not be as simple as I'm making it sound. You're young yet, give yourself a few years.

Anyone who ever even THOUGHT about hitting me would be out on their rear and would never get a second chance, let me tell you, and that's the attitude women should have about being hit.

Oh, you don't have to say anything. It really is just my opinion, and I'm not saying you have to get married.

It probably is more complicated than I'm making it out to be. I am a little older than you are, and you start to see things a little differently as you get older. Trust me.

It'll probably help you to go to school away from home, distance tends to change things. You have to keep believing God has a wonderful plan for you whether you get married or not. Read Jeremiah 29:11.

sometimes wish I were away on the states on my mastery programm, i believe i might think different or get some peace about that if i`m away. here everything seems hopeless ya know.

I bet it would help you to put some distance between yourself and your family situation too, Elo. Keep trusting God knows your situation and look to Him for your peace; don't focus on family members who aren't doing what they're supposed to. Easier said than done I know, especially when you're in the middle of it, but God is in control no matter how things look. He'll be there for you even when it seems like everything is falling apart. God doesn't promise we won't struggle, but He does promise to be there through our struggles, and He promises peace the world (or your family for that matter) can't give.

Elo,and bakersfield. I got your e-mail Elo. You know I have to say that Meagan was kinda a suprise to me! I had all but said hey i am gonna be single,you know good job and all,I was having fun with my buddies. Let me tell you when God wants you to ahve someone it will happen and I am so glad that it did. Meagan is the bomb I could not have asked for a better spouse. It is good cause we can grow together now and it is cool. I was 31 when I got married so it is never too late. Elo all will work out just keep your eyes on God,I know it can be hard,but there are time in my life that i am so glad that i have Him to call on.

my situation is not that I`m desperate to find someone. My situation is that I have lost faith in marriage. Well, faith is the wrong word but you know what I mean.

I`m so afraid of being like my mom used to ya know, doing my best for the relationship works and the other part (the guy) just won`t cooperate. I know I would do my best but it doesn`t matter if the other part doesn`t cooperate and I`m afraid of that, I`m afraid I be with someone who doesn`t try to work things out ya know. I`m afraid of loving someone and that this person just doesn`t love me back (like my parents situation), I suffered so much for my mom and I don`t wanna "repeat the cycle".

but thank you for answering johnathan, believe it or not is good to hear word of hope from a guy side ya know.
