Prayer request

Hi guys,

I have a prayer request if you're willing to pray with us on it. Right now we live in the Twin Cities, MN area. We've been talking of moving up North to where I graduated high school. My Dad lives up there, but it's an area that has few jobs and isn't the wealthiest of areas. A lot of people end up moving up there, to get away from rush hour traffic, to raise kids and cost of living is less, well, if you can find a decent job.

Anyway, if you can pray with us on it, it'd be appreciated as we want to make sure we're doing the right thing and it's God's will. We would be looking for work and to buy a house. It is possible. We've seen it done in that area, but we need to have decent jobs before we just up and move. This would take place in June 2006. In the meantime, all prayers are appreciated. Thanks much guys! :)

How can you get any farther north than you already are? That is a tough decision to make, but make it for what is best for your family and what God wants.

Thanks guys! :)

LOL exe...When I was in HS we took a trip for Choir/Band to Canada and it took us 8 hrs. to get to the border, if I remember correctly. So, there's plenty of 'North' to go. LOL!

Being we live in the Mpls. area, where my Dad lives is 'up North' to us, although that area is considered central MN.

I have to keep correcting my Dad's girlfriends girls, though..."When you guys come down here next"..."When can we come up there for a week this summer?"... Silly girls!

*ahem* A correction needs to be made...I said "My Dad's girlfriends girls". It should be, "My Dad's girlfriend's girls"...He only has ONE girlfriend..

Yeah, you guys get the idea. Just thought I'd clarify before someone thinks something else.

Just a little while ago I was working on a project and listening to Petra: Praise 2. Then I remembered an email my Dad's girlfriend sent me asking if we move back would we consider taking her girls to church. They're 16 and 13. The girls had been asking questions about God, church and faith. She herself doesn't feel the need to go to church as her family had a falling out with the church a few years back. I don't know any of the details. But, she did say her communication lines are open and she does believe in God.

Right now I'm feeling that this move has to happen. It has to be God. Those girls need us, and they need God. If we can get them in church we could possibly have two new members in the family of God. \o/

Have any of you ever heard of Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames? They're a group from Canada that goes around to churches, and the congregation themselves puts on the play. Anyway, I got thinking of that group as well, and they sometimes come to the churches in that area. If I could get my Dad and his girlfriend to go, maybe she'll give her heart to Christ as well.

There's also a Youth Pastor that has a ministry in that area that reaches out to teens. They have rallies like once a month, and they do functions on See You At the Pole day, things like that. I'm sure the girls would be up for a night out with other teens, so I could take them to that. I've been to two of those rallies and they're lots of fun. There's not A LOT to do in that area, so anything 'different' will be a change of pace. :)

Thanks for helping us pray on this. If we move up there, it'll be a real answer to prayer if they come to know Christ.
