Petheads,

A Tornado struck Vanderberg and Warrick counties in Indiana. The tornado struck some areas around Evansville. There have been deaths involved with the tornado.

Here is a link dealing with this:

We need to pray for the families affected from the storms

Definitely praying from here!

My parents are waaaaaay north of where the tornadoes hit, but their house lost several windows and some trim... They are OK.

Not sure where Loogootee is in this state, but hope you are OK there. Up here in Warsaw, we had really heavy winds and sudden sideways rain that hit the window so hard it woke us up at 3am! Part of my roof (not an imortant part, thank goodness) was laying in my front yard the next morning, and several trees were down in the area.

I just live about two hours northeast of Evansville. My brother woke me up when Evansville got hit. Loogootee had no damage done (but that twister could have easily hit where I live).

To find Loogootee, look at a road map. Find where US Hwy 231 intersect with State Hwy 50/150. That is where this city is.

To change gears just a slight, the only thing that was bad here (only a minor one) was Loogootee lost the IHSAA State Class A Volleyball Tourney. We did get Runner-Up though.

Here is how we pronounce the name:
lO-gO-dE (a very soft T sound)

It sounds like Low Go dee.

Found you on the map. I have driven through your area before.

I am glad you guys are OK, even if you lost your State volleyball tournament.

I've looked at pictures from down south there, and the devastation is profound. No words can encompass what they must feel down there...

My parents are having to have new windows custom made and all the trim replaced because their house is so old... but fortunately, that is all they have to do.
