I got so light headed and dizzy at work today :( , that I called my sister to take me to the doctors office. the doctor is going to have me not take my diabetic medicine for a couple of days, to see if it is causing side affects. I had been feeling this before , only today the person next to me made me tell my supervisor. Before lunch is when I felt not soo good just a little light headed, and after my lunch I got worse. I'm not sure if it is my sugar level being too high, they did take blood samples, just did not tell me if it is too high,(this was at 2 oclock and it is now 5 oclock and just tested my bllod and it is 156 a lttle high)so more than likely My blood sugar rose for some reason, and for breakfast all i had was a poptart without the frosting. plus my lunch which was a frozen tv dinner, and nothing else cept water and my medicine.

Diabetes isn't fun to deal with; you may need some adjustment on your medication. I think your coworker is right, if you're not feeling good at work you should let someone know. I know you might be afraid they may hassle you if you have a medical problem, but you probably are better off being up front with them. They might accuse you of keeping something they should know from them if you aren't. And they can't stop you from getting the medical attention you need.

My cousin has juvenile diabetes and he has gone on an Atkins-type low carb diet. He says this has helped alot, and he can indulge every once in a while.
I don't see how your work could fault you if you are having problems with your medication, you need to get that checked out. I would not want to have to do injections either, but there are new experimental methods for taking insulin which may be more viable-though even the pen is a VAST improvement over the old needles.

Just got my blood test results they took on monday back, my sugar level was over 300 , even with the medicine , so I have been given a third medicine to take, and while my hemoglobin seems to be getting back to normal ( from my blood loss this summer) my Iron level is still low and i have to continue with the Iron pills. please keep me in your prayers, that i get my diabetes under control.

I'm sorry you're having such trouble with your blood sugar. I'll pray the new medication works. It's not pleasant to deal with I know.

not sure if the new medicine is working. last night I got very dizzy again, while watching movies at my sisters house. came home and tested my blood sugar and it was 292, now I have a meter that test on the arm, sooo it was probably higher than that. I havn't yet tested it this morning, i am going to get another doctor apointment.

Help plz

yes it was my blood sugar being too high, I am now on insulin shots, and have been feeling much better. the pills I was taking for my iabetes was just not working well enough even with me watching my diet. Now that I am taking insulin at night, My blood sugar level has been much better and i am feeling a whole lot better than before.

Branch10498 has been posting random messages in all four forums of the Petra Zone. Probably trying to get us to visit their poker website.
