I watch sports and enjoy playing fantasy sports online with my friends, and form and join many Christian leagues as well. I mainly play football, but the other sports are good too. I was wondering if there would be enough interest in doing a "Pethead" league.

As much as we all would want to get a big group of Petheads together, it's kinda hard when we're so spread out 'cross the globe and have all sorts of conflicting schedules. Pray about it and maybe you might get some people to join ya.

Wait. . . are you talking playing sports with other people online?? I never knew you could do such a thing. Technology sure grows faster than my hair. I guess with an online deal that takes care of the distance problem but then you've still got conflicting scheduls.

I play real sports too. But fantasy sports are where you pick a group of real players from the pros, and according to their stats, you get a certain number of fantasy points. Each week you play against another person who has also picked some players. Whoever gains the most fantasy points for that week wins the fantasy game. A lot of people, including me enjoy it. It really doens't take a lot of time to "play" it, since the only real "playing" you do is to adjust your lineups each week, which you can do in minutes. If you play online, and most people do, the stats and points and standings, everything is kept up with for you.

The main fantasy football league I play in now has 12 players or "teams". We are spread out all over Texas, with one being in Missouri, one in North Carolina, and one in Canada. So the internet takes care of the distance thing.

I'll create a league for Petheads. Right now all the fantasy sports are in full swing, football almost coming to a close already, basketball and hockey are in about the 5th week or so. Baseball will be opening up some time in February or March. I always play on yahoo, and their leagues are free, and it's easy to join with a yahoo id. I'll let everyone know when those league open up.

I play fantasy football on NFL.com. Right now I'm doing pretty well with only 3 losses. I have to play the toughest guy this week and both my running back are injured. I'd join a fantasy league though, just keep us posted on when, where, and what sport.

I will keep in touch, and will start a league when baseball starts. I am also playing in two nfl.com leagues. I started well in both leagues, but am fading fast in both now. I also play in a yahoo league with some friends and family. This is the 5th year we've done this league. But I also play in a few other leagues with Christians I've met online, mainly through the yahoo group God Chasers.

I live in Brownwood, Texas which is about 2 1/2 hours south of DFW, very central Texas. Brownwood is about 20,000 people, and then the small town of Early is right next to us, and they have about 4000 I believe. Early high school's football team this coming Saturday plays Argyle (just south of Denton) in the class 2A semifinals. This is the first time Early has made the playoffs since 1958, so that comminity is very excited right now.

Injuries started having their toll, and I finished 8-5-1. I missed out on the playoffs by that half game I lost in the tie. In my main league I play with on yahoo with family and friends, I finished 8-6, but still made the playoffs. I was 6-6, but my team did well the last two weeks, and I upset the #1 seed in the semifinals so I'm in the championship game this coming weekend.
