Did anyone see the story on the news today, of two girls getting one year's probation and a $400 fine, for praying in front of a convenience store?
If this story is what it is, and nothing like, they were completely obstructing the door or business, then I must agree with some of the other anti-USAers now. Surely we have truely gone to hell!

That is really sad and disturbing. We're are headed for deep trouble, if we aren't there already, by making it against the law to pray in public.

Unless America turns it's heart back to God as a nation, this is only the tip of the iceberg that is coming.

Were they fined for praying, for trespassing, for loitering, or for obstructing?
That's not to put it by this country to fine folks for praying...
But no, if they were in China, they would be executed on the spot by firing squad. And so would the convenience store guy for owning the place where people prayed, and the mayor of the town for issuing a business permit to the convenience store guy who owned the place where people prayed before being executed.

I think America is coming to be like communist country. Pretty soon the AntiChrist will claim he is God. Everyone I know I am ready for the Lord to come back.. I am ready to fly away from this old world..
It does seem like America is falling away from Christ. We might be close to the last days.

There has to be more to the story... you can't just be arrested for praying. There is freedom of speech and expression in this country.
perhaps they were told to move and refused...? who knows. But people just don't get arrested because they were praying. You can stand on a public street and proclaim yourself man's gift to women - and no one can touch you or stop you from doing it, unless you make a public nuisance out of yourself.

Snicker. I've known a few people like that...
Valid point though; they may have be blocking the doorway and asked to move. It would be a violation of freedom of speech.

If they were on private property than they can be asked to keep it down. A property owner can be held liable for any actions by someone on their property. I have a friend that owns a little bistro and 2 patrons got in an agrument over something and another patron somehow got hit and she sued not only the 2 that were fighting but also sued my friend and she won. The judge said it is his responsibility because it was on his property.
If the property owner does not want those 2 girls there praying than under law he has the right to ask them to stop and/or leave the property if they refuse they could be charged with tresspassing. I feel that is what happen. I'm not saying it is right but it is the law.
