Awesome. Would have liked to have seen the Aslan character fleshed out a bit more, though. Not the CG puppet... the CG looks GREAT. I mean the CHARACTER. I didn't feel like I "knew" him like I do when I read the book.
I KNOW

We really enjoyed it. There were some things that we missed from the book, but overall, they did a good job.

On the contrary, I think Aslan was a great character in the movie.
Then again, I haven't read the book yet. (Hope I can find a copy in Spanish, heheheh.)

We had a fun time at Christmas and New Year's. I think Mikey got just the right amount of stuff this year... last year we bought him too much and I don't think he was really able to enjoy all of it, but this year I think he's been able to have fun with all of his toys.

It's always fun to have Sam and Warren over... this is the second (and third) time... and it's always exhausting, because Sam and Cat never go to BED! Warren actually fell asleep sitting up in a chair in my living room once. hehe
You don't really KNOW Aslan if you've just seen the movie. Trust me. Read the books and you'll see what I mean. Much of the development of that character is told in the book by describing how the children feel about him, which is difficult or impossible to do in a movie. I think it's an excellent translation of the story from one medium to another... but as in all translations of any kind, the result is not exactly the same. There is a little tiny bit lost in translation.
Actually, if you see the movie and then read the book, you may be surprised at how much of the movie is NOT in the book. They elaborated a bit on some things, particularly the relationships between the children, and the final battle (which doesn't even actually appear in the book, except for the very tail end of it).

I have seen it twice already. It is awesome movie. You can really see the christian over tones in it. My daughter immediatly said the lion represents Jesus without me telling her. She is so smart.
