If you drive in some communities, you will see "X-Mas". To me, that term is the ultimate insult for Jesus Christ. Anyone else?

The X actually stands for the cross. As that is the universal symbol of Christ, it makes sense to me.

I agree with Charl. I don't see "X-mas" as an insult (though I also personally think it is better to say "Christmas" because it has the entire name "Christ" in it). There are worse insults for Jesus anyway. For instance using the name "Jesus Christ" as a cuss to express emotion. I hear this all the time from other students while I'm at college.
The words for "Christmas" in other languages don't have their word for "Christ" in them - Navidad, Natal, Natale, No�l, Weinachten. . . So the English language has it's advantages

What drives me nuts is an 11 yearold on oral and inhealed steroids with a new build your own light saber!!!!!!!
