Have any of you heard the new Audio A album yet? (Until My Heart Caves In) I have not, so I'm curious as to how it sounds. I'm not expecting anything big since Lift was so-so and Worldwide was a real bummer.

I think is rather good. Actually its real good. But they are great live and since they are retiring at the end of the year. If you haven't seen them in concert this is your last chance.

WOW! not disappointed!!

I listened to clips from the album on barnesandnoble.com, and I have to say I was rather impressed. It's not super-hard rocking like Jekyll and Hyde, but it is definitely harder-rocking than Worldwide and maybe even Lift.

On a musical standpoint, I think Audio A (finally!) picked themselves back up to where they were in the 90's. This might be just the right album to end their studio collection with. :D

(I'm kinda surprised to hear they're calling it quits already, but I completely understand the situation with Mark's voice and everything.)

Not to sound snippy, but is the only standard of excellence around here how hard something sounds? To me, Audio A doing something as heavy as Jekyll and Hyde seems ridiculous-though I admit I haven't listened to them in awhile...I never got over the disappointment of them making one stellar album seemingly just to prove they could do it (and give us all false hope), then immediately return to (presumably) better selling pop doldrums.

Although hard apples are better than soft apples...

Not necessarily. For instance, I totally dislike the modern screaming metal bands like Metallica, System of a Down, etc. They are annoying. I much prefer stuff from the 60's and 70's, like The Beatles, Monkees, Styx, Boston, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, even though their music is a lot less "heavy." Why? - I don't know - there's just something cool about classic rock music that today's rock doesn't match up to. Just as well, Jekyll and Hyde is not among my favorite Petra albums.

In general, "heavier" does not equal more pleasant or more exciting. Harder doesn't always make better. All I was saying is that I just happen to prefer Audio Adrenaline's "heavier" music over their "lighter" music.
