PEARL!!!!!!!!!
by far Pearl is the way to go, i have the Pearl double bass eliminator pedal. you can coustomize the pedal any way you like you can change the cams, where the chain sits to make the pedal react differently, so if you wnat mor control you can change the speed, of the beater by changeing the cam. the best pedal on the market. my drum kit is a pearl masters coustom, i have all pearl hardwear, includeing a pearl icon drum rack, get the pearl pedal, the DW pedal to me feels still and ridiged on my feet. i played on for about 6 months. trust me you wont be disapointed.

what if there is no tomorrow... there wasn't one today.
I'd keep the DW's if I were you. They have the adjustible heel pads and you can change the cams out as well. DW pedals are tough to beat.
The company acually started out manufacturing pedals way before they ever built drums. It all boils down to personal preference. The Pearl eliminators are good too. If you hate them both, you could try the DW 5000 pedals, Louie's pedal of choice, or the Tama Iron Cobra pedals.

personaly
My choice would be stick with the DW9000 double pedal, or if you don't send it to me, i'll put it to good use
Pearl is a good company, don't get me wrong, but I think the level they are at is not the same as DW and Gretch. Tama's Iron Cobra is the best thing they have going for them right now in hardware.
The best thing that Pearl has right now in Hardware is their new cymbal and tom stands, you can go any direction with those things.
DW is by far my choice over all. Of course it will be a while before I get a DW set, I'm still enjoying my Rodgers Holiday 4 piece set including a chrome Dynasonic Snair
24" kick drum mmm ya baby - and all original memory lock hardware. But if i had the money i would go out and buy a DW9000 double pedal
