I got an idea for the site administrators to block bots

Some messageboards, when you register for them, show you a randomly-generated box of distorted text and make you type what you read. They say that bots are unable to read them. Maybe it's worth a try.

That's a good idea-winterlens already suggested it, so it is up to admins to implement or not.
I was wondering who findman was and why that one bot wanted him though.

I'm pretty sure it's up to Micah; I don't think any of the admins actually have the ability to upgrade the software and/or install a plugin to implement the captcha.
I know Micah's not monitoring the board as much as he used to, now that he's in Ecuador (he's still there, right?), so I don't expect it's going to be fixed any time soon.

Kinda odd it would pick the "Off-Topic" forum to place it's spam. Maybe a change in title would do the trick.
