Have the poles shifted?

Post by cvs2kids » Thu Sep 02, 2010 6:25 am

As in the movie 2012.

I'm just north east of Maine.

It's Sept 2. Usually we have a sweater on, long pants and looking at the leaves starting to change.

This past week, it's been in the 90's, high humidity and I break a sweat just thinking about doing anything.

I'm lookiing forward to Hurricane Earl to break this hot spell. :P

It looks like it will be catogorey 1 by the time it hits here, plus we should only see the outer edges, so no worries.

The good thing about livin' where I do, our infrastructure is built to wirhstand harsh winters, so even a cat 2 or low 3 would probably do minimal damage to us (except for falling trees and flying debris).

Have a good long week-end all!

Maybe so! In Dallas this morning it is a nice and cool 73, with light rain. Usually it is still hot, sometimes blazing hot, at this time of year.

What part of Dallas? I'm in the area, and yes these last few days have been a great relief. We are usually in the 100's still, but maybe this will break it for the fall. The falls here are always so nice.

Yeah, I've been to McKinney once, a long time ago. I like it. It has that "out-in-the-country" feeling. I have friends who live there and go to Faith Bible Church.

It's Labor Day on Monday, homie!

Although I have no idea what the point of it is.

Here in central Iowa, it is 75 degrees and sunny, with a good breeze.

I just found (that it was Labor Day weekend) last Thursday - was in a kickoff meeting with a new client and cheerfully offered to start work on Monday.

"Well, I guess if that's what you really want to do..."

Holidays and I just don't get along. A chance to got some more work done, I suppose. Humbug!
