Has anyone here ever heard of Kickstarter.com? If so what are your thoughts? Have you donated to any bands on there?

I've seen some bands and film makers use it. The model for funding projects is a little different than before. I kind of like it, although it doesn't always work. Tourniquet is supposed to fund their next album with the service.
